I would appreciate any advice. I plan on Harvest Oct. 15.
I have taken a few microscope sample looks...only found one amber trichome....mostly cloudy with 10/20% clear..

oh yea... ChemDawg Grape.. White Widow in back in greenhouse..can you spot the small Bubba Kush ?

Edit..I really want to Harvest Sept 30..Its a Full moon..And they say if your going to Harvest by the moon to harvest on a Full Moon...The 15th is New Moon... I am afraid the 15th is too long ..but its also really close to the 60 day mark on that day...

I saw another amber Trichome....1/22 amber... the amber was towerds the outside of the leaf

Looks great, but you mentioned a trich on the leaf was amber............
The leaves aren't what you're judging ripeness by are they?
I may be mistaken, but those don't look to me like they'll be ready by the end of this month.
I'm thinking at least 2 more weeks for them to swell some more and pull the hairs in.
Wait and see what some of the pros say..........

I have a 30x - 60x scope.... I feel its like a cherry tree...where there is always the first ripe cherry... I can find a ripe or amber trich if I look but Im not very familiar with identifing when the overall plant is ripe or Ideally mature.... With that in mind I with post photos each weekend..till I get replies on here to Harvest..so keep looking back....

Ok..Here Saturday 09/29 photos.... I not seeing much more for high amber trichomes still 20% clear..mostly cloudyish stage.....I still notice developement in new trichomes...

I am thinking of putting them in the dark for last days..I was thinkin 5 days..is that too much?

I am noticing hairs turning on the lower more shaded buds...When should I cover..do anyone of have a Harvest date I should shoot for..I was thinking NOW the 8 or 15...

Do I have two full weeks of flowering left??

Say flowering started Aug 20..that means today is day 40.. so Yes, right for two weeks left? Is a pound a good estimate.. I thinking from 12 to 18oz... for all my plants..I dont really care the exact harvest amount..I just need to harvest correctly and on time ....

Dont you Master Growers worry....Its all still up and growing...No early chopping on this Farm..Trich are finishing slowly , steady and mostly even from what I noticed. Still very few amber trichs...Really starting to get plump.....The largest Colas are about a forearm in length with wrist size in width...The Bubba is a leaner... I feel the White Widow is going finish first due to her size is small...purchased as clone mid summer...but yet still caught up in Height...FYI : Will be growing Widow next year 2]

When is best time to harvest...Pre sunrise or after extended period of darkness?

I can see it ripening and getting fatter. Good job. Personally, I don't think it matters what time of day, but I like doing it in the early morning, if that helps you. Although it could just be habit, because that's when I also like to water and check for pests.

Weather is finally turning bad...Today had first cloudy day in months....I am concern about he weather but I am in organic soil and no Fox Farm Nutrients added in few days just being prepared to Harvest at moments notice...although I do want to hold off til the New Moon the 15th

Wow, you're lucky the weather held off this long.
Plants look very nice.

Yes your plants are definitely nice and the harvest window will soon start to slide open. Honestly if you can wait at least 10 more days I think you can really up your yield/potency. I can see your calyx's are just starting to do there thing and swell, the pistils are reseeding as well. IMO if you want max yield and potency, you should wait at least a week after all the pistils reseed and the calyxs start protruding. If you do have a microscope that would also be a key indicator when seeing amber trichs all over.

hey, fellow tacoman! i have three outdoor jack herers. they finish i think faster than those steins. last year, i had just one plant outside., the same kind., i was sort of forced to harvest on the 19th. we had lots of rain, and i started getting rot. i should have just but off the rot bud, shook the rain off her, and give her a few more days.,
the bud was fine! i noticed no difference, in the outdoor, to the indoor jh. however, i wished that it had not rainsed so fast, and much., we are expecting a little rain this weekend, starting tonight. i do not think this will hurt our girls. they will enjoy the first couple of sprinkles.. outdoor is ok around here, as long as we use earlier flowering strains. i run my jack a min of 9 weeks indoor. but for outdoor, 8 or if you can find some earleir, go with them.

I got a 60x - 100x scope with light on the end...manual zoom...but it works for sure...

My amber percentage is under 1% and has held there for past weeek..so surely trich maturin slow yet very even especially over the canopy colas, including those colas around the side..I am not really in a hurry ...except weather is changing but today is nice sunny...morning clouds lately ..I have a canopy setup on stand by ...using each night to fight off dew...I will be using this as personal so weight is surely more important ...but potencty is very close 2nd...

oh it smells sweet n grapey... I thought I could almost taste the aroma today...lol :)... Thanx for all the response and compliments...

Those look sexy! I suggest pulling them on Friday, before the rains show up. We've been lucky the sun has sticking around, but not for long.
