Outdoor hydroponic set-up...

ive recently ben getting into some heated debate about outdoor hydroponic set-ups. The argument is that it isnt possible to do it (in a forest) growing marijuana. Now im no expert but i am pretty sure that there is a way that it can be done. For instance i thought if you could bury a set up in a running creek (constantly) running until winter. If you were to drill a bunch of small holes to keep corodents out so only the running water were to get through, and use the sun as your guide, and manipulate it to grow as you would in soil but using some hydroponic twist to it. I could be completley wrong, it wouldnt be the first time but id still like to hear some good feedback, thanks in advance:joint:

Oh dude its definitly possible.. You could submerge a gascan in a creak and have a hose to run to your area with some type of setup.. im no expert but it can DEFINITLY be done... People grow in national forrests all the time, do you think they set up a tent and stay there the whole time? doubtfull.. maybe some but doubtful... The first step is always a good MJ growing book, check out a NEWER book like Marijuana cultivation by mel tompson or The Marijuana growers bible by Jorge C. They both have AWESOME information and you never have to worry about conflicting sources telilng you different things. Sure its great to come on here after you read that book and people will have more ideas to add to what you already learned from the books. Anyway im way off track sort-of.. for whoever told you its not possible to setup a selfmaintained hydro system outside running from a natural running water source just doesnt have the knownhow to do it... Good luck with your search im sure someone on this website knows ALOT more about it then me, i just know its possible

yea i dont know what it is about hydroponics out side but people get all uppity about it, i have an older hydroponic book, its very old school it talks about aeroponics as a neat new idea. but it go's into all kinds of self sastaining out door methods that we developed in deserts and unideal places some pritty cool and cheap on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Hydroponics-Revised-Richard-Nicholls/dp/0894717413/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1249184318&sr=1-5

out dated for pratical uses but alot of good info about mixing your own nutes and plant problems.
