Outdoor growing <-- newb!

I have four plants now, they are in a quite well lit spot outside, so far I haven't transplanted them in the grown and have just been keeping them in these medium sized black pots with drains at the bottom. I was wondering what else besides watering them a bit on hot days I should be doing?

Should I plant them into the ground or keep them in the pot? The ground is full of thick long crash, so I would have to dig a lot and I know there are quite a few roots under the ground and wild plants.

Also I noticed the male "pistols" on some of my plants, do males still produce good bud or very bad bud?

Thank you :)

kill the males.

Ok thanks, I know now, but how long does it take for them to contaminate the females? I don't see the grape sacks yet or the hairs but I do see the pistols. Are they already in danger?

ALSO!! If the males did contaminate the females can the females still produce bud?

once the pods open on the males they will release pollen. some can escape even sooner. you will still get buds but they will have seeds.

what about growing them in pots outside? I don't want to risk weeds getting mixed into the soil the plants would be planted in. But I don't want to stunt the growth, the plants fit quite nicely into the pots. Any recommendations?
