Hey all,
I currently have two plants outdoors (in pots) which are 2-3 weeks into flowering (producing buds).
Recently ive noticed that my buds themselves are turning purple, the stock and leaves are still a very healthy green., tho.
Im a little worried and a little excited, ive done some research and have come up with the reason being, becasue of the recent temp drops in colorado (where i am).
But wanted to get advice from other growers just in case..

I dont know what strain of plants i have, since i just threw random seeds in a pot and had some actually grow to beautiful females.

All adivce is welcome &&& GREATLY APPRECIATED.?

dude ive smoked purple nugs before and i can say that it didnt smoke much different than a green nug of the same quality, if at all.
I always find it exciting to smoke purple nugs. I dont know if this is a major problem though. I assume not, purple nugs were something my friends and i got excited about.

Yeah - don't worry about the purple color. Don't take this to be a "Purple" strain though - many plants will turn purple if it get's cold. It doesn't affect the smoke or anything - only thing is that it is a sign that fall is near and plant soon needs to get done with that budding ;O)

A good question I have is.........

Did the seeds come from some purp? You said they were random seeds. I have a buddy in Nevada that a few years back had a few plants outside that all had some purple in it.

if you like your purps purp get some purple max by humboldt, that and low night time temps will make them way purp.
I've got some purple urkle going thats not really showing any signs of turning colors and I've kept night time temps real low.I'll probably be flushing those next res change.

FALL IS COMMING IN COLORADO.. Im hoping to have these ready to harvest by the end of this month.. Hopefully mother nature will give me a break on the first snow and make it a late start.. But we shall see, they are in a pot so relatively easy to move indoors during bad weather and tooo cold of temps.
Im not sure if they are from a purple strain.. possibly, but again im not sure..
Purple max by humboldt eh.? I heard thats bad for your buds.. gives it a harsher smoke.. What exactly does it do to turn them more purple?
Here are some pictures of my twins before they started their color change.
About a week or two into budding..

Well during the day the temp here is roughly around mids 70's high 60's now.. And then at night its getting down to lower 40's..
Could i be freezing them? I dont want to ruin them with the cold.
