Cannabis originates from the Middle East. It is very hot there in a lot of areas. Heat and water are great for cannabis.

Any kush or Afghani strain should do well in the high heat.

Kush is more geared towards cold weather with it's large heat retaining leaves and stocky stature. They do well in high heat, don't get me wrong, but humidity is their worst enemy. Sativas are tropical strains, more for high humidity and long hot days. And yes, they may have originated in the middle east and parts of asia, but in mountain regions where cold weather is common.

Anwered my own question here. I transplanted a sharksbreath i had indoor to my backyard Nov. 16. My plant is doing great. Yesterday was nearly freezing temps in my area. Tonight the forecasted low is supposed to be around 28f. Ive been using stakes to put a tarp over her the last couple nights. It seems to be working. The only thing is it stayed small. Dont know if its because the hard dirt preventing the roots from moving beyond the clay dirt, or couldve dwarved from the cold. But ya its possible ill put up pics soon

which would work better plating in a hole in the ground or huge pot in the ground ?

the hole in the ground would allow the plant to look for moisture but also would allow the water to soak in a bigger area.

a pot would

This is an older thread but put them in the ground and the roots stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter the plant can be very durable if the roots are ok. Afternoon shade would be good if in The Valley!

I used to live in Arizona we grew outdoor all the time in Tucson, as long as your in a somewhat cool spot your good. Direct sun in July will be your battle and the fucken javalenas. Has anyone gotten mmj cards there yet? I know doc's are signing just haven't heard if people physically received them or not..? Pretty cool, put those dirty rats down south out of biz and stop the violence, and stop smoking bad weed, its about time.

I am a Phoenix AZ indoor grower and had a extra fire Og teen and stuck it in my backyard about 2 weeks ago. She have white hairs like crazy. Buds are appearing I was wondering if I should leave it outside to finish or bring it in or put it under my 600 hps. I know the light periods is starting to get longer but it's so happy outside
