Kinda confusing title but in about 1-2 years Im going to be finished with college and wanting to move out and be a MAN.....lol. Which out of all the states that are legally selling medical marijuana, would be the best to start a business / work for a dispensary?

Alaska
California
Colorado
Hawaii
Maine
Michigan
Montana
Nevada
Oregon
Rhode Island
Vermont
Washington

Sorry if I missed some but these are the places Ive been looking into. If you would kindly post with the place of your choice and if possible give info on why you like it, that would be amazing.

Thanks everyone and have an awesome day.

^^^ Ditto that, Cali is my best guess too. Most of the info you're looking for can be found the www.norml.com website starting with basic info. like this: http://www.norml.com/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4525
Then you can look up each state's norml chapter website for detailed info. on the legalities and details of what your interested in. Here's Cali's Norml site: http://www.canorml.org/
Finally I've heard over and over that the best thing to do to get into the caregiver/dipensory thing is to go take a few classes at Oaksterdam. =) http://www.oaksterdamuniversity.com/

look for states with new laws. The longer a state has had medical the more saturated the industry tends to be. Also it's not uncommon for states to start with a broad statute leaving room for a lot of people to get into the industry, but later restrict it further (like colorado), and in many cases being grandfathered in can be advantageous (of course it could go any way, consult an attorney if you are serious about a particular place). Anyway, cali and colorado are both saturated. Colorado has put in place some fairly strict regulatory procedures and policies which can make it difficult to operate. Cali still has a lot of legal questions between state, county, and city authority, and many of the issues have yet to be decided in court. I have heard good things about Maine and Michigan myself. Arizona is the newest addition, certainly worth reading over the legalese to their new laws :)

cali and colorado def have the best ops already in place.but watch out for michigan,we are on the come up and have always been a huge bud smoker state.i have my card and have at least 10 buddies and myself with grow ops.we have at least 6 hydro stores,a dispensary, and the states largest compassion club with 3500 members in my city alone.and i aint in detroit,im in the other vehicle city.

Don't go to Nevada. Medical MJ is legal but dispensaries are not. State does not enforce but the fed raids dispensaries. Last raid state-wide by the ATF was Oct 2010.

Hawaii pretty much sucks right now, no dispensaries allowed for the most part, harder to get your mmj card than say CA or CO, and then hard to get your meds.

If yur an mmj holder watch yur plants, lots of ripper/cops. If you have them outdoor cops like to count your plants from the helis they have shitloads of flying all over the place on every island. so make sure you aint going over the limit.

Just remember, HI will always copy what CA does. Thats why it sux that prop 19 failed, or else HI would be very close to something like CA as far as lenience and ease of use.
