Here's some updated photos from coastal Maine. Things are going well here so far. Plants are bushing out nicely and growing taller daily. The two in pots are something my brother in-law just brought over last week still in solo cups. He asked what I could do, I just kinda shook my head and said don't expect to much. My new fencing is a little close, but it is what it is for this year.

Talked to some people from the Cape today, the caterpillars
Are they the source of the gypsy caterpillar? Everyone walking the AT thru the New England states are having all their gear (and themselves) covered in gypsy caterpillar shit. At night it sounds like rain on the tents.
Talked to some ladies from the cape, said it was crazy there, they are eating everything.

Yup. I got them from OGS. And also some of the crosses with erdpurt.
Have you grown them before? I've only grown the Oaxacan Iranian cross from them, which did really well outdoors last year, finished on Sept. 10. 6 feet tall! That's awesome! Hope you post more pics of that as it finishes!

Not really. I did a fast seed crop indoors two winters ago. Some were the straight EI and one Holland's Hope cross and a cross of White Lightning. I didn't grow any of the crosses this year.

I did a cross of Oaxacan Iranian with Royal Kush, and both plants are doing well in the heat. Royal Kush in particular was very resistant to bud worms last year. Looking for genetics that can do well out doors in Oklahoma, as we have every pest and disease known to man!

I'm in Michigan near 42N Lattutude. Main problem here is mold. Last year the humidity went high early and the septoria was crazy.

Septoria was horrendous here the last 2 summers! Finally found an acceptable sulphur solution that a friend formulated that helped me get closer to finishing my plants, but I had to harvest some of them early. Royal kush dealt with the fungal issues really well. I wanted to grow the Iranian early flower but heard it is very suseptable to mold. Zerotol and Oxyphos, from Biosafe, are my go to tools for PM and most molds, but they had little effect on septoria. Luckily, it is 100 degrees everyday and no rain this year, no molds so far.

This is my goto for septoria if used once a week from the start never see it. Even when its gets going this really kicks it in the ass.IMG_3253.JPG

Also, mold is one of the reasons I went with the Erdpurt cross from OGS, besides the early flowering.

I think They're sold out so the website may not link to it. It's a Variation of the Oregon Grown OG. Scroll down. It's variation #2.
I have that one and grew it last summer! The standard one, anyway. That was the first plant I had to pull early last summer, due to septoria issues. Once the septoria makes it to the sugar leaves it is all over. Seemed like it would have been really good if it had gotten another couple of weeks. I always wonder if the Iranian part of the genetics made it more susseptable to mold and fungus issues.
