How long did it take you to get a membership to be accepted and what is your condition if you don't mind me asking?
I got a neurosurgeon to sign a letter of diagnosis for lumbrosacral spondylolisthesis... basically one of my vertebra is broken in 3 places, causing a lot of pain on and off, depends on what i do(lifting stuff, moving the wrong way... and it took about 2 weeks to approve my application. I was considered a cat 1 application

I could understand if I WAS dealing with ther government BUT I am not. I am dealing with a very incompassionate compassion centre.

I have read people from here going in there who dont even have a card and buying medical marijuana. They don''t have ANY illness but I have all kinds of them and they don't have the common courtesy to even email me back or call. Absolutely fuck all. :evil::evil:

Yes I am pissed right now.

Some dude says it takes 2 weeks and I sent my application off 3 months ago and haven't heard a thing. :twisted: FUCK!!!!

Because it makes work for them doesn't it? They have no reason to be quick, the longer it takes the more job security they have. When was the last time you heard of a "cival servant" getting fired for being slow? The other day we saw, no joke, one guy up a utility pole while TEN others literally lay on the grass and watched!! We counted them. I can only imagine how much work is done behind closed doors.

:peace:Sorry Lacy, i misunderstood. I thought you were dealing with the Ministry of Health. I guess because I've been fighting the government system for a while now. I can't understand whats happening with the compassion club. Keep after them, you deserve an answer at least.:peace:

Thats ok. As soon as I got off from here I placed a call and they answered saying that they had my application right in front of them.
I don't know if this is a mere fluke or that they know I am Lacy and Lacy is me. :-? Not that I really care, cause I just want my card.
Sorry for my foul language earlier. :roll: Me bad. :twisted:
Soooo now they say that they have contacted my doctor on many occassions and he has not returned the call :confused: I called my gp so he asked me to call my gp and tell him that he was going to give them a call in 15 minutes :o
Waaaa hooooooooooooo. I think my application is finally being processed. OMG. I am totally stoked now. Excited as ever.

The only thing that will be difficult will be going down for the orientation but I will do ANYTHING ...almost :roll: to get my mm card.

Yes !:mrgreen::blsmoke::peace:

And to be brutally honest Health Canada have been really good when I have dealt with them and I have called them about 6 or 7 ties now about this. I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service regarding this topic especially.
ALL the people I have dealth with in Health Canada about the program have been VERY supportive and have even offered alternative approaches. They gave my other options and places to call. They also gave me a better understanding of how I could obtain one without my doctor actually consenting to my using it, which is EXACTLY what I needed. So I can't believe I am going to say this but Health Canada ROCKS in this division.
