Hey, I just wanted to say that I also live in Canada and 2 years ago I was in a skydiving accident and shattered my L2, they but a biomechanical titanium spine in me attaching 4 vertabraes around the L2.. I could not feel my legs or defeat gravity with them... Pretty shitty.. then I would start having shocks and burning pains and sensations like boiling hot water running down 'em... Anyways sometimes I'd wake up screaming in pain... Now I can walk again but no running.... And I can't feel my right leg except for spasms and weird stuff, and my left it atrophied a bit still and way over sensitive.. My doctor in Quebec told me to take Mg!!!!! I actually looked at him and said Wow...... and he turned around and started laughing (i've known this guy all my life) Then he knew I was moving to Ontario and told me to apply there with my new doctor.... So here I am.. Now I need a doctor... Think I got a shot? All I want is to possess and maybe grow later but just smoke... I find it takes my mind of the quiviring spasms.......

Lucky

I actually registered for more info on this.... I read the site all the time though...

Hmmm I went to the site, and all I found was a bunch of info for compassion clubs... Maybe I'm too stoned and looking in the wrong place but I need info on finding a Doctor for 100% legal by health canada.. I fall into category A so if I get a doctor who will sign I'll get it no problem! But where is that 1 in a million doctor? grrrrr frustrating times.... any more info would help! Oh and as for my doc in montreal, I told you he told me to take magnesium when I asked for herb.... He seemed reluctant, kinda like if I stayed in mtl he'd do it if I persisted but I've known the guy a long time I don't want to have people knocking at his door for weed... He's also the chief emergency room doctor at a major local hospital there so EVERYBODY knows this guy... Anyhow happy hunting.... Oh wait a sec I know another guy who got his card there for a slipped disc... I could ask him who his doc was.. gimme a few days on that one... it's one of my parents friends....

Yes you have a very good chance of getting a card.
Go to health canada and they have a section under the letter 'M' for medical marijuana to get the proper forms.

You can also go to www. medicalmarihuana.ca and they have all the info there that you will need.

If you cannot get a doctor to sign for you then I suggest going to your nearest compassion club and become a member.

The doctors in Ontario have been told NOT to sign those papers by the board of directors and if they do their doctors' insurance will go up, so it is not worth it to them.

Good luck with this.

You have to keep at it Lacy. They delay hoping you will go away and stop bothering them I think. It takes forever for the federal government to do things, it took 13 months for my pardon, and I've been dealing with disability for 10 months now, and still they say I'll hear within 60 days! If you have your doctors signature on the forms you should be approved eventually, but it may take more than one application. Mark at Toronto 420 has useful links on his site, worth a look. They are links in Ontario too, so are useful for us. I've been waiting for disability approval before applying personally, but maybe I should be moving on this. I just have to get the specialist to sign the forms, he's used to that by now, the number of forms I've gotten signed in the last year, and he is willing to do it too.Good luck with it Lacy, keep us informed.

Yes but why would they encourage me to send in my application and get in the right forms and hope I will go away?
That doesn't make any sense at all. I have all the right formed signed by all the right doctors.

The only thing I do not have is the approval of a doctor to say 'yes this will help her. '

I am going to get in touch with this guy then. Thanks so much. I did start giving up but I just can't. I can't risk my hubbies job and our house. :(

Thanks so much jimmy.
You;re a long haired freaky....sweetheart ;)

Later :)

Because it makes work for them doesn't it? They have no reason to be quick, the longer it takes the more job security they have. When was the last time you heard of a "cival servant" getting fired for being slow? The other day we saw, no joke, one guy up a utility pole while TEN others literally lay on the grass and watched!! We counted them. I can only imagine how much work is done behind closed doors.

How long did it take you to get a membership to be accepted and what is your condition if you don't mind me asking?
