Hi, I l ive in the desert and the temps are in the 90's. Apparently my ventilation sytem stinks because its that hot in the tent too. So, Im buying a larger fan unit. However, until then I have to deal with what I have.

Secondly, my purple plant is 1 ft from the light, I didnt top it. Can I top now? It has a big bud on top.

Thirdly, it is root bound.

Help...

If the incoming air is 90 degrees, the temperature in the tent cannot be less than that. I'd say your fan is doing it's job just fine if it's constant outside and inside and anyways no fan will sufficiently cool it. You need an A/C unit or something.

You can prune any time. If the plant grows into the light, it will heat-prune istelf.

If a plant was in nature and a cola broke off, would it make a noise? I don't know, but the rest of the plant would be fine.

I just pruned 2' off of my rose bush today. It's not mad at me. It will continue to grow. It was still flowering, too.

Hormones en route to the broken part will diffuse throughout the plant and it will continue to grow.

I'd try gradually bending the top instead of cutting it off. If you're only 4 weeks away from harvest, I wouldn't think there's gonna be much more vertical growth.

The plant will yield less, if topped at this point. Have you considered tying down the branch?

Hey that's an excellent idea. Wish I thought of it

It is a good idea... I once did this on a cola.. I bent it 90 degrees a foot below the bulb and it grew well.. It made a big knuckle and then was a big sideways cola with the individual nugs stretching upwards..

not much to lose at this point anyhow..

let us know which method you use to fix this, OP.
