One candle = 1/4 lb co2 per 12 hours

148 buddy, want an autograph? Bro, your numbers have been entered into the ledger, 82 people die of candles per year. Noted. Fantastic. 82 people. And that scares the shit out of you. ok. I'd look up how many tons, how many, literally, billions of candles the rest of us 330 million Americans burn every year without dying, but I wont bother because guys like you, it does no good, and you have no concept of the statistical relevance of 82 out of 330 million anyway. I'm seriously done with you. This post will last the life of the internet, with your fear mongering doltishness will ride in tow... Now, for anybody unafraid of paraffin wax, who thinks they can not burn their house down, enjoy. Seriously, if you have the space, go with a desktop water fall. They are really pretty. You can curl up, read a good book. Like I said, it does what it does, it's up to you, the grower, to decide if and when you may implement. If you don't want to, or feel you can't, or are scared, or anything, don't do it. Stop hating. If you got a 2 x 2 tent and don't want to do it, don't hate, just move along.
Which test was administered to you to quantify your intelligence?

I think your IQ is more like 148*.65, or average. You see, genius has a pattern which you don’t fit.

What an outlandish claim. Statistical significance... lives were lost, that could have been prevented with caution. Don’t be dense.

You’re still fighting because you want to be right, you believe that you are right. But you are not, it’s a simple psychological bias that you would recognize if you were able to. But you can’t, because you lack the equipment.

What point are you trying to make? I was going to read through the whole thread but was like 40
minutes long or somerthing.
So I started watching this but it's 40 minutes long. What's the summary? What point are you making?
It was supposed to be cued to :52 and his experiments. Point is that you are 200 years late. Use a bottle of CO2 a burner, soil respiration or a worm bin but not a damn candle. You know that five idiots are going to be reading this six years later thinking its a good idea.

200 years late? That makes sense how? And... Why not a "damn candle"? The "fire hazard" thing? I'm not arguing the fire hazard thing anymore. I guess there are way more people who are afraid of toxins and fire hazards of votif candles than I thought. If this equals fire hazard to you, and you seriously, can't think of how another person might possibly be able to burn candles safely, can we just agree to disagree. As far as a "damn candle".. it's simply hydrocarbon, it's C25H52, It's 85% carbon, it produces 1/4 lb co2 a day. It is what it is. Photosynthesis is 6CO2 + 6H2O + light energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2... I don't know how posting a video on photosynthesis is 200 years late, or refutes anything?? But whatever. Whole lot of pretty little candle haters.

WTF do I know my IQ is only 139 looks to be enough to have outsmarted your 148 cause there is no argument here leaving a candle unattend = bad idea. Many of us morons have automatic fire suppresion systems in our gardens. You should invest in one, will cost less in us $ than your IQ.

You’re really thick. It’s not the candle that anyone is afraid of. The fact is that leaving the candle burning unattended is irresponsible and something that an idiot or child would do, that’s all. Sleeping with a candle lit is a good way to increase your odds of dying soon.

I think that these people:
http://candles.org/fire-safety-candles/

Have a vested interest in selling candles, and they think that your idea is stupid too.

The more you struggle to be right, the more stupid you reveal yourself to be.

Could you imagine it would say something like
"Only burn candles unattended if you have an IQ of 148 or higher"?
I'm not doing the unattended candles thing anymore. If that's really all you got, I'll go ahead and claim victory.. nah, nah, I win.. It's like the Ben Simmons isn't a rookie thing.. Ok, noted. Super afraid of candles. Here's a candle in water.. What's gonna happen? Cat gonna knock it over? What if you don't have a cat? Do you know what would happen if that got knocked over? Can you guess? Why don't you make one, knock it over, and try to burn your house down. I mean, granted, who hasn't been to a wedding where half the tables burst into flames... I'm not doing the fire hazard thing. I guess they had to tell people not to spray windex in their eyes for a reason.

Yeah you’re not doing the unattended candles thing because you’re a moron and didn’t realize that you should think before posting your idiotic shit idea in an open forum, and then getting picked apart by numerous people. I’m just calling you what you are, a moron.

It just came to me.
I have created the perfect Co2 generator.

Will you long winded beauties come argue about co2 in my grow room.
You each normally exhale a couple lbs a day, but stick with me because here is where it gets exciting.

Its been proven that when you guys argue about co2 you actually double that.

i tried candles once before. you'd be surprised how much soot you'll find on your plants from the candle and soot mixing with the humidity and being blown on your plants. why not try something that's more suited to an indoor garden? they make co2 bags pretty cheap, no risk of fire with those either.

From what I read those bags don't produce much, I think a couple get up to and extra 100ppm a day? most less? But, that's cool too! Brew some yeast and sugar, that's cool too. Raise a chinchilla, use a tank, use a burner.
Can we agree that not all gardens are the same? I don't see this soot you see, but if you do, k. I mean, I don't argue 82 people in America die of candle each year, or maybe, your conditions, there's soot, or you just gotta run the fans too much, or whatever. You figure out a way to put a stack of newspaper next to ten candles and go away for the weekend...
Can we agree that it's conceivable that a situation may exist where plants and this thing could cohabit in a reasonably safe and very cozy environment? If you see one in an office, do you see soot everywhere and afraid the building will burn? I've owned a half dozen of these things. They break :P... But, you guys ever go to spas? Little tea candles all over the place? C'mon.. But I'm not hating on any other way to bump co2, or do what you gotta do. I was gonna move my snake in there, but damn respiration so slow not worth it.

Are we talking whale blubber candles? cause that shit is not cool anymore, but I have nothing against beeswax.

Seems like a bunch of people who dislike bad advice by the looks of it.
We're talking paraffin, 80% of all candles made on earth. More commonly known as... a candle. We're talking candles, people. Not special candles, not back of the shop candle. UNSCENTED, white, regular ol' Candle, with a capital C. Paraffin is a hydro carbon. it is simply C25H52, from head to toe. When it burns, it becomes CO2 and H2O, water vapor. with a 50 mm wick, it will produce about 12 grams of co2 per hour, or a little over 1/4 lb per 12 hours. That's what happens when you light a candle. An everyday candle, that in our beautiful world, is simply made of two elements, and simply gives of water and CO2, 2/3 of photosynthesis. Simple. Safe. Hmm, I wonder if that simplicity and safety is why it got to be what we know as a common, everyday, no harm no foul "candle"... Just info for anyone who is legitimately interested.. By the way, I assume everyone here... smokes weed? Soooo, the "toxicity" of a candle thing... :) If your mom just ought this thing for her den, would you throw it in the trash cuz it's a fire hazard? She can't be trusted? Say you had to move all the plants out of the room or it will hurt them? She can't even go in the room because it's so toxic?... Really?

Are you in a legal state or country? Kinda hope so cause you are more likely to make the news with a strong argument against legalization, unfortunately.

Alternatively, in a non cannabis friendly local, prison might be the safest place for you, where they don't allow you to play with sharp objects. And lessons are learned the hard way.
