One 400w vs Two 150w HPS

Just curious wat every1 thinks would be a better choice with factors such as, size area (rectangle/square), HEAT CONTROL, Bud Form(light/dense) and anything else u can think of!

400 watter for sure, unless you've got absolutely NO room, and in that case you wouldn't be able to use 2 150s anyways i don't think

the 400w is a better option. the 150w is just better light coverage.

what about dual 400's ...

lol i went for a 400 and i have never looked back!

400 watt. if its more rectangular try dual 250 watt. I don't think the 150 watt bulbs are good primary unless you have grow room that is low in height. They are good for supplemental lighting I suppose, to hit some corners the main lamp doesn't grab.

I think its hard to give specifics for your needs unless you know the specs of the area you plan to use.

then you should get a 150.

150 for that? No way.. go with the 400.. you won't look back,...

I want the 400w i just worried my box was too small here is the setup i was looking to buy

(would this be enough to cool the light and pull enough air through a small carbon filter i was hoping to be able to get 1 fan for both jobs)

the box i can exhaust into a non heated back room with windows
(It gets very cold in there during winter so i dont think pulling the freezing air into the box to cool the light was a good idea, was going to just use a passive intake on the bottom of the box and let the exhaust fan pull the room temp air in)

if Any1 got some Advice on a good way to vent and control heat im open for any and all suggestions, since i have nothing yet to take a pic of i made a diagram in mspaint of what i was thinking of doing

yea i want to start asap but id rather w8 and see what i can do to make it beter be4 its even built

i usually just think everything through in my head...

doesnt ALWAYS work, but that only happened with my closet setup, lots of unseen issues. it's a good idea to write/draw your ideas down and think em through slowly.
also, tape the floor wherever you want to setup to make sure things will fit. I usually just but stuff and set it up like I would if there were plants, but others use tape. Do whatever you need to do to make absolutely sure you are making good use of your space!

will a passive intake on the box floor be the best spot?

will the TD-150 fan be enough to pull in new air from the intake through a filter, cool the light tube and push the exhaust through 5ft of ducting

Your setup's both look pretty boss man. The way you have the cooling system setup in the 400w diagram looks simple and effective. That was the only thing I would have mentioned, the heat of the 400. But if you have a plan for that rock the fuck out and buy the 400w man, the results will be worth it.

yea go with the 400watter and the set-up you have is good. i have a very similar set-up and it works wonders. i use a 210cfm fan from home cheapo to pull the air through my exhaust

Little late I know, but I just noticed something in your diagram. You shouldn't need an oscillating fan. It looks like you are going to place a passive intake right on the floor to the left, that thing should provide ample breeze for your girls. The air should flow right through the plants up to the intake of the carbon filter, adding a fan as well may make for too much wind. Just a thought.
