i just called home depot and menards and they dont have mylar.
who do i gotta call to find it i really need some for the new grow room and they didnt even kno wat i was talking bout plz help out.

order it offline. or go to lowes. cuz thats where i got mine.

use christmas wrapping, the silver plastic stuff.

u sure that will work as well and its not really christmas time so it would b hard to find

Also might wanna try a craft store.

Go with panda paper, or panda film. It's black on one side and white on the other. I think mylar is over rated. It's a lil difficult to set up and keep flat and straight, plus if you foliar feed, it's a bitch to get clean, in turn diminishing it's effectiveness. Go with black and white poly. Just my 2 pennies.

you can also use an emergency blanket in the camping section, they sell at walmart, that is mylar and it only cost a couple of bucks

a lot of people use mylar but i personally like top use either flat white spray paint or christmas wrap. i think mylar holds heat in more than paint.

you might wanna see if they would call it poly

agreed. if you have flat white walls don't even bother. mylar is so reflective it tends to hot spot more than reflect in a diffuse fashion. white rooms are always brighter overall than mylar in my experience. and hey, thats savin some $ on foil.

i just checked the panda film out online looks pretty good im gonna look for that around town.
a fire blanket? will one b enough for a room thats 30 X 19 and 41 inches high????

Don't fret. Actually, if you will simply paint your grow room walls with a pure white semi-gloss latex enamal, you'll save a ton of money, and have a much better reflective value. I also use white plastic sheets on the floor as it's very easy to clean/replace, and prevents water damage to the floor of my grow shed. We all know that a 'clean' grow room is a 'good' grow room.

Every growing publication I've read, recommends white walls and ceiling, over any other type of reflective material. The enamel paint is easy to clean and holds up very well....B

yeah man panda film is what i've used from day 1. Perrrrrrfect for the old grow room. really don't understand why mylar is so popular. panda is a better and designed specifically for this purpose. relax.......its just a sheet of plastic....your plants will be fine.
