these systems are innovation only so you have a float table with a rotating cylinder on top, simple. i found an assembly video for it on youtube for the new one. it's gettin smarter with every new version. YouTube - VolksGarden

I heard that one of the knock offs (I think it was the Rotogrow but also may have been the GI) is not electrically certified and almost burnt some guy's house to the ground. This was in the Pacific Northwest somewhere.

The GI I've saw at a show appeared to be extremely delicate with way too many moving parts. When my wife approves the budget, I'm definitely going to hook up with the technology's inventor at Omega Garden.

I'm leaning towards a Volksgarden and will post a daily log book when it happens.
the omega folks are the only ones that safety certify their equipment, none of the other ones do. can't figure out how anyone would be able to sleep if they had one that didnt have the CSA/UL certs on em. there is enough shit to worry about without burning the house down, think?

ive heard of rotogrows burning and the housings for the ballasts and the motor is plastic so all you gotta have is a cooling fan go down and could be all over. just hate waking up dead. dainja dainja dainja

volksgarden has a plastic tray and cylinder but motor housing is steel and ballasts are remote so nothing to burn. the little details

so how much is omega paying you guys jeeeeeeezus. i dont know if its me but i feel a little sales pitchy at this moment. this is obviously the most efficient use of space possible, that cant be argued. the geotropism thing makes it even more interesting, like muscle building but plants doing the workout. now... But: 2000 for the plastic one is crazy.

so were looking at a 200 dollar ebb and flow and a 200 dollar motor and a 500 dollar custom industrial grade molded specifically saving literally 100 man hours plastic cylinder.
and ok you bring up that certification, hey im certified I respect paperwork, but i dont see the other grand???

so as someone said earlier this would be an awesome contest, and I would contribute on a user based RIU om3$a clone.
just like 100 others ive run hundreds of ideas of my own diy on this one. so if we all got together and combined them, and someone like cnc hookup wed be in business. RIU growwheel!

ok so your math has already got them to a grand but i guess they are doing it in their moms basement so theres no rent, then the metal stand, motor mount, housing, cool tube plus supports, hmmmm..........molds to make those plastic parts, paying all the shillers ummmm ever heard of distributors, wholesalers, retailers, oh ya packaging, advertising and im sure they would like to make some profit. did i miss anything? im sure i did

Grownnfine or Tokey, have you started with Omega Garden yet?

Anyone out there actually running the $6K system with results? Would be interested in discussing specifics and finding out what works and what doesn't.

the volksgarden is a solid molded cylinder and i have one of the first ones made which has been turning non stop for more then 2 years with no warping at all. you can do half of what you can get from an omega with it you just might have to veg for a day or two longer to fill in the wheel is all. more is better not always
hello I just got an volksgarden I could use info on feeding schedules like how often in a week too nute. how high too field the tray with nutes that the plants dip in. a good temp and humdity.
thk u

Regardless of what the omega garden folks say about their equipment - no one will know the results unless you try it yourself. I have my doubts about the equipment and don't think it can be used for all strains of marijuana. For examples - plants that grow to be 6-7feet tall would not work. I am a big fan of strains that have long flowering periods and high yields...so the omega garden would not fit my needs.

oh boy here we go, how bout you reread your posting like some one else posted it and tell us what's wrong with it? hmmmmmmmm, how bout the fact that its a contradiction? if your advice is good enough to give someone else, why is it not good for you as well?
maybe your head is too fare up your avatar to get enough oxygen to think right.

that plant that grows 6-7 feet tall could be 60-70 feet tall it doesn't matter, you can create the conditions for it to flower at whatever height you desire, that is what growing indoors is all about, you are now mother nature in the universe that you create. by your thinking growing a bonsai plant isn't very likely either, but hey guess what........

do not over water. your out door temps and humidity may have some bearing on your watering but from my experience you will never need to water/feed more then once per day. when you first start out once a day is more then needed and once in two or three days will suffice but you can check the amount of water in a cube by unhooking one plant from the cylinder to see how heavy the cube is. a 3 inch rockwool cube will hold just under 1/2 lb of water so its quite easy to tell if you need to water it or not.

feed every time you water and only water to a depth of .25 inch and the capillary action of the rockwool will do the rest.

try keeping temps to low 80s if possible if you end up mid 90s then all is lost but you wont really know that till you have waisted your time.

Omegafarmer - I did not mean to come off as offensive - I apologize if I offended you or anyone else. I have to admit I was a bit high when I wrote it so I did not take flowering early into consideration.

Can I have a stealth one that uses a 250hps? That's pretty nice right there.
