Oldtimers Haze Who's grown it?

This one by ACE seeds has been on my mind for quite awhile so a week ago I pulled the trigger and bought some seeds. It's supposed to be 100% sativa and can take up to 24 weeks to finish apparently. Got a couple other sativa's as well as well. What can I say?

And yes I googled before making this post. Nothing but dead ends.
Anyone grown this? I'm thinking of training it to one side of the tent and letting it go for a couple grows or more. My friend is growing the Golden Tiger.

Hope to pollinate a few branches.

Great selection there!!

You probably are aware, but if not, check out icmag, ace has a sub forum there. Pretty sure there is a nice long thread for olt haze there.
In the meantime lets get some feedback from members here.

I have been fortunate enough to try this haze from ace. Grown by a friend a while back. You will certainly have to do some selection. But there is some magic in those seeds you will not forget any time soon. I remember feeling sensations in the body, stimulating type, i usually no longer experience from most hybrids.
My favorite pheno was in fact the one that went 24+ weeks.
When i start up my grow for the year again, i plan on running their panama haze.

Credit to you for trying a super long flowering strain like this. Good luck!!

Yeah there is a thread. 1630 posts long. It's going to take a while to read.

Here is a long flowering sativa grow in progress.

Or not LOL:D
Yeah I don't have time to read the entire thread. I skimmed through a few random pages real quick. What I gathered is what I already suspected. Not huge yield, long flowering time, and low nutrient requirements. They have threads for all their strains. I have a bunch of their stuff. Malawi, Guatemala, Panama, Honduras, Congo, Pakistani Chitral Kush, Orient Express, Lebanese, Golden Tiger, and Oldtimers Haze. I have a serious problem. My lady says I'm a hoarder of cannabis seeds. I think she's right. I need help. Right now I'm contemplating another purchase. It's a sickness. Maybe I'll start a support group called "Strain Collectors Anonymous".

Yield is not what the Haze is about. It’s about genetic diversity and keeping this true old school pure Sativa classic alive.

That thread is mine. I’m currently crossing a reg female Purple Haze x Malawi back to a pure Oldtimer Haze reg male. It takes patience. Just don’t overdo veg if you are running it indoors like I am. It exploded.

I am really interested in the Lebanese, Honduran, Panama, and the PCK, myself.

I popped four of the Oldtimer's Haze. It's going to be a long six or seven months until harvest. I'm hoping to be smoking some by June.

They sure do look sativa. I'm hoping for 50/50 male/female or at least one male or one female because my goal is to make some seeds of this strain. I also want to collect enough pollen to make some crosses with other strains. Not that I don't have enough crosses. But I'm addicted to making my own.

I have a seed problem too I plan on growing until I die though so I figured it’s a good investment. Are you going to have a journal on this grow? Would love to see it, I smoked this strain a while back and it was amazing. I love Sativas. I like a good Indica to help with my anxiety and a strong Sativa to make me out of my mind high.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to harvest time with this strain. I'm probably going to flower them at around 5 weeks since I don't want them to get to big due to space.

I'm not a fan of all the latest pollen chucks everyone is growing so I loaded up on landraces and will make my own crosses. I'm basically done buying seeds and going forward will just grow from my own stock and the crosses I made. I'll probably cross it with Afghani, Hindu Kush, or Pakistan Valley. I might also cross it with some other crosses I made from Pakistann Chitral Kush and Panama and Durban. But I'll also make more seeds of just Oldtimer's Haze.

The only true haze experience I have is many many years ago an old timer was growing what he called purple haze outdoors here in rural Nova Scotia. It was fully hermi and fully purple and looked just like the nothing special the old sativas looked like. It did have trichs but also had just as many seeds lol Anyway I can say that it was a killer smoke. Harsh as shit with nothing fancy for taste, but did it ever rock people for hours on end. It was almost like it wasn't weed.

Cheers :)

That sounds like so much fun.

Well this is going to be a challenge. I can already tell how this is going to grow. Big. It wants to be a big plant.

I don't know if this strain is suited for indoors in a 4 x 4 tent.

I'll do my best.
Not really. You’re probably going ti have to train the fuck out of it. They go wild indoors, but they can be managed.
