Got a good friend here local that sold her home and 1/2 acre lot for $655K.. This is in a town of less than 2500 people, and pretty much just white people. She sold it in about 72 hours.
Holy shit! How many sqft in the house?

Prices up here have been going crazy. I started looking around a few months ago to see if I could buy a little patch of hunting land, like 80 to 100 acres, and the prices just seem ridiculous to me.

I have a feeling there is a bigger drug problem here where I live in California. Homeless drug people everywhere. Not sure about out there though.
I lived in North OC for 10 yrs. The homeless problem is more prevalent in CA than OK. Over in OC it never freezes, never gets too hot, and there is very little precip with no severe weather. In OK, it is much more challenging to be homeless.

Never thought about it like that.... but yeah, we don't see much homeless people. You might see a panhandler at I44 and NW Expressway, but that's about all I've witnessed.

Can I survive in the broken arrow area on 20 bucks an hour? Hopefully I'll get a raise fast.
What are your expectations? Is it just you, a single person with no kids/spouse? You're not going to be living in luxury at $20/hr, but you can be self sustaining. Look around for what rent is for a residence that meets expectations.

My dad used to live in Seattle back in the 80's... super nice and clean city. I just stopped in on my way back from Alaska last year..... total shit town now.
No shit. I was born there and it use to be an awesome place. A bunch of asshats moved there and now it sucks ass. If it wasn't for those losers I'd still live there. The whole West Coast could fall into the ocean now for all I care,

Yeah. There was trash scattered all along the hwys, homeless people, beggars, saw a guy fully naked, taking a shit against a building, some dude pissing in a public street corner…. Couldn’t wait for my flight to get out of there.

I once found out that Greyhound buses will stop in the road and put you off the bus if you get caught smoking dope in the bathroom on the bus.
Then they called the cops to say why they put me off.
It was in Oklahoma in the winter.
That was a hard lesson to learn.
I almost got eaten by coyotes walking down the road. I assume they were coyotes, as it was dark and all I heard was their toenails on the blacktop.
Oklahoma in the winter is not amenable to misplaced Virginia country boys.
I honestly thought I was going to freeze to death.
