you would still want to vac purge this end product right? Sorry I have only done Ice wax using bubble bags and a small amount of iso. Never messed with solvents and dont want to risk contaminates.

Pentane works on fresh frozen material as long as you keep everything below freezing. I prefer hanging the plant until the small twigs snap, which typically takes around 5 days. It is still rife with terpenes, but less water and bulk to deal with.
Just the info I was looking for. Thank you.

@Big Perm

I got my OilxGreen knockoff assembled.

Materials used:

10' 1/4" copper tubing.
2 Brass 1/4" compression to 1/8" male thread pipe adapter
2 Brass 1/8" lock nut
2 Brass 1/8" fip end cap
2 32 oz wide mouth ball jars
High temperature gasket making silicone.

To attach the tubing to the lids, what I came up with is using an adapter to go from tubing to pipe thread. Onto the 1/8" adapter, I installed a lock nut to go on top of the jar lid, a small dab of red high temp silicone was put between the lid and the lock nut. Next, I similarly put a dab of the silicone on the bottom side and installed the 1/8" fip end cap, these were tightened together wrench tight. The silicone should provide a liquid/air proof barrier. Hopefully these pictures give you an idea what I did. I still need to drill the end cap out.

I then went to work on the tubing. I found a can of bug spray that was the perfect diameter to use as my coil template. I got to wrapping coils. At the bottom, I overbent the last bend before it goes into the collection jar, this is so a frozen water bottle can sit in the coil with no extra support needed. The rest should be pretty self explanatory.

So that's my take on it. Unfortunately I won't be able to test it out for a bit, but in theory it should work. Not terrible for about $25-$30 and 20 minutes of my time.

Make your own for $20. Have you seen it? Whoever priced that is on crack.
Hello - I just noticed this thread and thought I should respond to some of the statements here.
I encourage anyone to make their own system. We are selling ours to the public and need to ensure the safety and thier safe health as well. The components of our system are some of the best available and are not cheap.

The jugs of Alkanes we get from American Scientific are significantly heavier walled.
And more expensive. We built our system so that users can easily and cheaply replace the components. Except for the metal tubing, jar caps and connectors. We do have this option on our site for $150.00 it is the "Bare Metal Only" selection.

Oh just for the record I do not use crack.
I truly admire you. You took what I said better than I would have. I looked at it as someone taking something diy and trying to cash in on it from people with low diy skills. I apologize for the things I said.

Question for you about using pentane. Would it be possible/advisable to use pentane on fresh frozen material, or will I be better off drying like normal and then processing?
We have used it both ways as well as freshly harvested and I like using fresh plant material myself. Just processed a few plants this way and I was very happy with the results.

Hey man do not worry. This is America where people have the right to say what they think. When it comes to our politics I wish more people would say what they think. Pursue your happiness.

As stated above we designed the system to be safe and I promise you the profits on this unit are small. For the DIYer I aplaud your efforts to create your own systems. But for someone who wants an easy safe system they can count on to get the results they want without a huge investment, I think anyone will agree that this is a great system for the money.
