OG Kush LED Grow

Been too busy to log in. I didn't think that the grow was a good example of the genetics or my abilities. I logged in to continue with the next stage. I will get all caught up here.

I pulled the 2 OG at 7 weeks. One was def done, the other could have went another week.
The left one was lemon fuel. Finished sooner. Had shorter chunky buds.
The right one had more sweetness to it, more pine and bubble gum undertones.
Both have super dense buds.
The high is similar on both. Starting cerebral then lethargy after too much. Med-high potency. My tolerance is pretty high and it can still knock me out after a joint. Munchies. I didn't weigh it, they each filled a half gallon jar.
As for seeds, the pollination didn't work. I had maybe five seeds from near the vent from before I moved the males.

I will do an update on the next batch later, they are just starting flower.

Pics are 7 weeks, before harvest. It is an 8 week strain but I harvested early.

Next batch is 8-11 days in flower. Had 6 females and 2 males.

Pulled one male because it was more lanky and I didn't really like it.
The other male is dropping pollen. I plan on pollinating today. I know it is early. I'm just going to turn the fans on and give it a quick shake then cut it. I have a good bit of pistols.

Week 6 update: wanted to get an update on these before I start chopping too much.
I want to make sure anyone knows that these would certainly be bigger. This isn't a good grow to base this strain on.
I didn't trellis.
I didn't defoliate.
I seeded them out.
I didn't lollipop until recently because I knew I would be sampling them.
Most importantly though these three gallon pots are only half full. I have six plants in one bag of dirt under 200 watts.
Anyways I have been sampling, it is killer already.
I took some smaller branches out of the canopy and lollipopped this week.
I am probably going to pull a top and tie a couple branches up.
Will def update at harvest. :eyesmoke:

One smells like blueberries and another like pineapple lifesavers. But they all have the OG flavor. Way too early for a proper review though. Happy Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to do an update since I did all OG and I learned quite a bit last grow. Got a good yield. I think I could have gotten more because I only used the Viparspectra 450 because I was growing organic test under t5 next to it and I was trying to keep it under 80f. But I'm moving to organic to see what how that goes so maybe I will do a journal on that next.

OG Kush seeds I bred from HSO seeds.
Viparspectra450(200w), 32x32 tent.
50% of each Happy Frog and Ocean forest. 3 gallon pots.
FF trio at recommended ratios about half strength. Cal mag. Bud Candy. Spring water. 2 week flush.
I didn't trellis but I should have. They were falling everywhere.

And here are the other 2 I grew. These are under 100w t5 in a 2x2. I used only Big Bloom on them.
Great grows, Dave. Have a similar setup to your OG Kush grow. Germinating seeds right now directly in Happy Frog with LED. Quick questions if you don't mind helping. What distance did you keep LED to top of container for germinating? When did you start watering and how often? Greatly appreciate the help!

Thanks. I usually use T5 for seedlings, they are easier to deal with in tighter spaces.
I used a blurp a couple of times for seedlings, I just used the manufacturer's recommended height.
I water as soon as I plant the seed. In solo cups I water every 2-3 days after they sprout. Whenever they start feeling a little light. I mist my seedlings alot also.
There will be alot of variation with different lights, cup sizes, airflow, soil. :bigjoint:

Hey Dave. Thanks for the reply. Greatly appreciated. So far two seeds sprouted in soil on Tuesday. Decent amount of stretching so far, but doesn't seem concerning. Containers are close to those of solo and top soil is a bit dry/crisp, but not all the way. Time to start introducing water? Spray or bottle? Photos:

I start spraying mine as soon as they sprout.
