I dunno if you've ever saw a partial birth abortion. I saw a mock partial birth murder. It was grusome! That's actually a baby. Period.

Of course you have a right to your opinions.
I can give you an answer quite bluntly, I don't agree with murder. Call that religion, or just being a decent human being..
My point is, why should it even be necessary to have a partial birth abortion if the pregnancy is terminated early enough?I personally do think there should be a time limit, unless the health of the mother is a concern.Once the fetus is at a certain age, there's no going back. But that's my opinion.I don't know what the reasons may be to wait so long..perhaps they are legitimate.I can't tell someone what they have to harbor inside their body. It's got to be an awful choice either way.Have an unwanted baby and not care for it?Let it be neglected and resented?Or end the unwanted pregnancy and live with that?

Good post! WE THE PEOPLE IS RIGHT! Maybe next week this topic will be brought up. :wall:

Amen!

"We the people" are so fragmented in our society. But we need to unite around the principle of "We the people". Regardless of how different we are. We need to decalre our voice, our power... The politicians aren't our boss. WE are their boss!
Time for a progress reports congressman, and senators, and Mr. Obama! Are you all doing what "WE THE PEOPLE" have asked you to do?

WE are the majority. The huge corporations and politicians only make up about 2% of our population... WE make the decisions!

I am 41 years old, I've been a mom since I was 17. I use THREE forms of birth control at all times, TWO of them being surgical methods (and those aren't free, or even cheap). I'm doing everything I can to prevent preganacy. If I was to get pregnant tomorrow, I would abort it, that is my right. My kids are grown and it's just about time for grandchildren for me. There is no room or time for a baby.

Let's not forget either, than the chances of downs syndrome and other birth defects go up substantially when women are pregnant over the age of 40.

We also need to think of, rape, incest, eptopic pregnancy, and all those horrible birth defects that make abortion needed.

How do you feel about "selective reduction" ? Do you know what it is? I do. It's when people have multiple embryo's implanted in their uterus. After a certain time a doctor goes in and "removes" part of them if too many attached and are growing. Some women have up to SIX embryos implanted and as many as FOUR "reduced".

Why do we never hear any bleeding hearts screaming about this practice? It is intentionally fertilizing eggs, then intentionally "killing" them.

I wonder, if those folks who decry abortion are willing to take on the responsibility of those unaborted fetuses, either actually or financially? They'll spend untold millions telling others how to live their lives, well, they'd be better off adopting those kids. But no, as with SO many other subjects, they KNOw what's best for others, damn the consequences.

They are usually the same ones who complain about people getting welfare.

You should read the headlines from around the country in the summer, there is at least 1 baby that is "forgotten" in a hot car and dies, every day. How the hell do you "forget" your baby in the car? 2 kids and 23 years later and I've never forgotten either of them anywhere.......

That's the truth..although I'm sure you'll agree there ARE times that their behaviour(the kids) make us WISH we could forget them!*lol*

I do not believe in abortion. It is not up to me to say what anyone can do with their body.We all have the choice to live our lifes as we see fit.
Adoption is a joke.My wife cannot have children,we tried to adopt but were not rich enough. The guidelines are so stupid that they make it impossible to adopt. They do not care if you will provide a safe and loving household, just if you have a income over $50,000.This was over 20 years ago_OPH

It would almost seem to be easier to adopt from another country than right here sad to say.
The big thing though is that since it's not our body, why do some people feel it's their business to dictate what's done with it? How does anyone feel when told not to toke?
Now I know that it will be said that toking and abortion are not equal, but the principle is the same, and we all know how we feel about being told not to toke. once it is accepted that it's OK to demand that others do as told, for their own good of course, then how far away are we from socialism and a dictatorship?
In the end it is up to each individual to lead their life based on their own beliefs. That does not mean that through persuasion we can't attempt to bring others around to our way of thinking..as we do with legalization, but to demand and dictate how others live is crap.

I don't know how this turned into a discussion about abortion, but my 2 cents on the subject is this: it's your body and your fetus, the decision should be yours. Obviously the right choice would be to avoid pregnancy, but life changing "accidents" happen. There are all kinds of thoughts on when the fetus becomes a person, from when the sperm penetrates the egg to the first breath. I am of the first breath philosophy, there will be lots of arguement on that position, but it is still opinion.
