Obama: Limits Nuclear Weapons

Okay, I have looked over a bunch of material and a few things strike me as NOT GOOD. (surprised?)

The Russians have come away with a DREAM treaty. It favors them greatly. They are popping corks in Moscow to be sure. This is NOT GOOD by definition.

Now a lot of details are not clear yet and there is much dispute. For one thing, the USA and Russia are saying two different things about the treaty.

The Russians now believe Obama has linked offensive and defensive missiles together. Obama says no he hasn't. I believe the Russians in this matter, because Obama would certainly deny it if it were true, since every President before him has worked very hard to make sure that link does NOT take place. I can't give that 100% accuracy, but Cracker is willing to put money that Obama naively linked them, which means it will be up to Congress to save us from the treaty.

The Russians aren't giving up anything they weren't already planning to do with or without the treaty....which brings me back to my earlier post.... this is pure politics. However, and it's a big one.... Obama gave away (90% sure) the link between defense and offense and got NOTHING in return. IF Obama actually made such a colossal concession, and it is HUGE if he did it.... where's the payoff for the USA? There is none...

So far, I recommend this treaty gets the axe. I'm sure the military iss flipping out if Obama did link the two.

The reason by the way, we don't link them is because we are far ahead of the Russians with missile defense systems (thank you President Reagan!). This of course is why the Russians are popping corks.... this would be a serious blow to our national security, not to mention wasting Billions in research and development. That's our $$$ being thrown away there.

I was going to start a thread ... but bleh...why bother.
