Nute burn? Mites?

I'm 8 weeks into growing my first successful plant (C99) from seed and noticed that some of the leaves don't look so good. A couple weeks back I upped my nutes a little too much (Dyna Gro 1/2 strength) and noticed some slight burning around the tips and a few leaf edges. I backed the nutes off to 40%, but the tips of new growth are still coming out with just the slightest bit of yellowing. Yesterday, I noticed a couple of the lower fan leaves looked like some small brown spots were appearing, but I can't tell if it's been that way since the burn, or if my eyes are playing tricks on me and it's increasing in amount. Please help, what's it look like to you?

I've also noticed a couple of tiny white specks on a leaf or two that look like they might be bugs, but are too small to see with my naked eye. Ordered a loupe and it's on the way...

This is the first time I've gotten this far in a year and a half of attempting to grow and I'll shit myself if things go south again now.

Yeah back off the nutes, it looks like burn to me. If your in soil flush it with RO water and then feed it exactly what you fed it before you upped the nutes. Don't forget these things don't need very much love and I learned that the hard way. Let them tell you what they need then give it to them. Good luck.

Hiya zandramas, hope you manage to sort Ya Lady...What Kinda setup you running..Hydro? Soil? and what kinda Light and Grow Space you working with? and how Big is Ya Lady..kinda hard to tell from Picture.

Wouldn't Stress m8, looks like you spotted whatever is going on early rather than later...

The Loupe is a must...I got mine for checking the Bud before Harvest...but was a God send when I found Fu*@ing Spider Mites on 1 of my Ladies and Thrips on the other....

Peace

There are a couple of nutrient problems that resemble what I see on those leafs. One is Calcium deficency and the other is potassium deficency. With calcium deficency...this can occure if your ph levels are to low. So it could be as simple as raising your ph levels a bit. Check your ph levels again. With potassium deficency, this is more common with soil grows and less likely in hydro grows. Cool temps slow the absorbtion of potassium in cannabis.

The white specs could indeed be bugs chewing away on your plants. Spider mites are the absolute worst...you would start to see the leaf turning whitish...little white specks everywhere. Thrips cause similar damage but are actually much easier to control then spider mites.

With the browning of the leaf tips....I think its likely to be a slight ph problem. I advise checking the ph levels and giving the plant a little time to do its thing. Allot of growers start playing with nutes...feeding more or trying to fix problems with more nutes and that usually results in more plant problems. With cannabis, the general rule when the plants are young is...less is more!! You do not need allot of nutes with young plants. hope this helps!

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. Here are some other pics of the plant and setup:

I'm running a 100% perlite hempy under a 90w LED in a pretty small stealth cab (1.5' x 1.5' x 4'). The pH in the runoff always seems to be about 1.0 higher than what goes in, so I've been feeding with 4.6~4.8 pH solution and getting 5.7~5.9 in the runoff pretty consistently. I've been feeding the recommended nute solution for the Dyna Gro series (Grow, Protekt, Mag-pro, and K-L-N) and recently switched to their "week 4" schedule of a slightly higher Grow level without the K-L-N.

Like I said, when I upped it to 50% strength the plant started showing signs of burn, so I backed off to 40% of what they recommend, but maybe that's still a little high because you can see the leaf tips are always coming out just a little yellow.

The temp ranges have been between 68-75 in a given day, but the humidity where I am this time of year is quite low, usually running around 25% - 30%.

Maybe after 1+ years of failing miserably (had no good pH meter and only lemon juice for pH down -- sheeeeeeeeit) I'm finally getting close to flower and I'm too paranoid and stressing things too much. Hard for me to say because I've never made it this far. Anyway, thanks for your input guys.
