The girls started to get some pretty serious leaf curling and clawing, yesterday I thought I would hit them with a little sparkling water, but I don't think they liked it very much, as a matter of fact, I think they needed the opposite.... some oxygen (roots), I think I have slightly over nuted them, and they started to lock-out. So this morning I gave them a full PHed (6.3) flush, and did a little digging down about 1.5 inches into the soil, I have been using powdered guano, the really sandy kind, and after a while it begins to pack tightly in the soil medium, mix that with sticky sugar, and I am pretty sure my girls needed a fresh breath of air, so I used my faucet sprayer (well water) and soaked the shit out of them with oxygenated water.....hope they respond, we are getting so close to the end.....I was planning to start flushing next week anyways, so just started a bit early. Peace......Nugs
When in doubt....flush em' out!

Flush, flush, flush time......looks like we dodged a bullet with the salt build-up, looks like they are beginning to recover. I have to remember that less is best. PERIOD! even with Organics.....salts still build up to toxic levels.

HOLY CFL ! why not get one HPS? you obviously spent about the same in all the fixtures and bulbs
cause I kind of went in reverse, built the spaces first, spent most my money on the spaces and nice mirror doors, and then started with a couple fixtures to grow a couple plants after getting that CFL book....I was turned on by the price...or lack there of.....then added a few CFLs, then a few more....then a few more....you know how it goes....if one is good, two is better!......Also the way I do it is modular like, moving lights around for the right coverage...I kind of like the routine of adjusting the lights. plus I got a screaming deal on 42 watters for about 5 bucks apiece. Anyways......I just built another closet for my Moms and little ones, I have three 42's covering my seedlings, and four 42's on my moms. the moms are under the seedlings and clones, the lights from the mom space provides a free warming mat for the little ones on the stage above them. Works killer! I also like to make stuff, so I made some real cheap, but very effective reflectors for the CFL's on the moms. I am running a total of 470 watts of CFL's in the 6.75 sq.ft. flower room, 70 watts per sq. ft......don't really know lumens per sq.ft....but it seem to be working very well, with very managable level of heat....79 degrees, and 40% humidity constant (average) in both spaces.....simple and fun......but yeah...someday soon I will take the plunge on an HPS unit for the flower room....but I love my CFL's on my moms and little ones, and probably won't upgrade to a T-5 unit or something comparable. Here are some pics of my new veg space....Peace and Love

Getting excited about my next grow.....Wappa, THC Bomb, White Gold, and Granddaddy Purps! I am pretty happy with my lighting set-up, will build a new "chandy" to house six 42's, but most tweaking will be in my soil mix, with more organic goodies in there, and a lot more pure water in the feedings/waterings. Life is good in the mountains....Peace....Nugs

about two weeks till harvest on this ride.......
it has been a good one....learned a lot for my first go-around!

Great job bro. Very nice looking set up. I grew the Trin about ten years ago. It was one of our favorites back then. I have not been able to find it since. Happy harvest.

Yeah bro, the Trin is very nice, and kind of a local legend. There was only one flowering specimin left in the area, and she was about to become extinct, she also does not clone very easily, but we took a cutting in pure desperation off this lady when she was only 4 weeks from harvest, and with 24/7 attention , one of them made it, and this is her. I have been trying to get some clones off of this one, and after about 10 tries, I am happy to say I have, this morning, I have one that has took!!! I also pollinated the original mom with our local Diesel, so I will have at least 1/2 of her in bean form, I just wish I had her 100% in bean form.

continuing to flush just a few days before the seven week mark, took a few pics. The Trinity is very close with about 5% amber trichs, then the Piney Dieselgum, then the original Diesel,(which looks the least impressive of the four). The darling of the grow is my own though! Dieselgum (mostly Bubblegum), she is amazing, but looks like she is about a week and a half behind the rest, which is fine, because I need to force a few seedlings into revealing their sex parts, so I will harvest the three in about a week, and leave the 'darling" to mature with the little ones. Enjoy.
P.S. the Dieselgum took the nute overdose in stride, never showed any stress, and blossomed into the beauty she is. Peace and Love...Nugs
P.S.S I lollipoped the three that are close, but left the Dieselgum for now.

these are a couple of my new mamas......deiselgum and my "purps", I have tweaked my soil mix, and think I got it pretty good, also been treating with neem once a week, and have achieved optimum health! these plants are VIBRANT! They are under CFLs.

official seven week mark, hope to harvest the Trin on new years eve, if I can wait that long! the Dieselgum is really coming into her own, she will need a few more weeks, but it will be well worth the wait. here are a few new bud shots of her. Merry X-Mas!

Day 74/53....harvested Trinity....super frosty and skunky, small yield, smallish, but very dense nugs......will see in about a week harvest weight. Probably ounce, to ounce and a half.

Harvested the Diesel today, nice tight buds for the diesel. Into the drying space she goes, replaced Trinity with THC Bomb, and the Diesel with GDP in the flower room respectively.:hump:

Alright, the first dieselgum was cut today, the Trin and the Dies, are jarred up....looks like an average of a bit over an ounce each, and about 150 beans.......much lower than I anticipated, I was hoping for 2 ounces per plant........But one thing I learned was CFL's are excellent for veg, mums, and clones......but ....well I already have a 400 watts HPS with a 55,000 lumen bulb installed to finish out my best plant in the flower room....CFL's are alright if you don't mind small nugs and small yields.......but I don't. I did however learn a whole bunch, and refined my technique along the way, and also started stocking my genetics bank....but now it is time to stop fucking the dog and do it right. Here are the last pics for this grow....its been fun, thanks for coming along for the ride....

I also am very skeptical of SeeMoreBuds and his CFL book.....three little plants and a half P.....doubt it....wet maybe! anyways, here are some pics of my established space....it was very rewarding to come full circle, mostly working with the spaces throughout the grow, constantly tweaking and improving, and perhaps that never ends....but we will see.....it is so addicting, not the medicine....I am not a heavy user, but this plant has got me by the "short and curly's" and she will not let go..........it is kind of nice to be pussy whipped.
