We all love the herb and nobody wants to go to jail for it so what the hell, vote! Vote because you care, fuck the government we all want that to do that. Getting it legal to grow for personal use and you dont want that.

thats about right man. he very best we can hope for is decriminalization and medicinal use. We wont see outright legalization for years and years to come man. Besides, the above posters are right, if its legalized, do you wanna see RJ Reynolds sell packs of joints in every single store you go to, making billions of dollars off of a trade like cannabis? Granted, if legalized the gov't is only gonna end up growing shwag, which leaves a HUGE market still for dank weed, but even the idea of taking money out of the pockets of millions and millions of people who pay theyre bills by selling and growing pot, makes me sick man. I dont give a fuck what people say about demonizing the pot dealer -- theres nothing wrong with being a weed dealer (not that i sell weed, i use for medicinal purposes) at all in any way. If it werent for weed dealers, none of us would have ever tried our first taste of pot ever man. Without them, there would be no us, and thats fact.

Sellin pot is not a bad thing, and i dont see why people cant see that. Making money off of weed has been a form of supporting entire families for decades, and if legalized, would be fucking ALOT of families over. Sure you can say, "well why cant they just get a fucking honest job?" -- whats so dishonest about selling weed? its not like theyre selling coke, heroin, or anything else thats gona get the buyer hooked and willing to murder someone over a 20 sack to shoot up. The weed dealer is a blessing in my book, and i wouldnt want to do anything to take money out of their pockets, ever. Decriminalization and medicinal use would be an ideal situation, because it would allow those dealers to think about growing, so they can grow for medicinal shops and profit off of it in a "legitemate" way in the public eye, and pay their taxes, which lets face it, thats what it really all comes down to in the long run anyway right? as long as the gov't can get their little slice of the pie, everyone is happy right??

Im actually against legalization to a certain extent personally. Too many people that have no business fuckin around with weed will be involved in the shit knee deep. Weve worked hard to form a strong counterculture around pot, and to turn it into a mainstream type of thing, just wouldnt float in my boat.

this isn't even the proper avenue to accomplish whatever it is that you want. many places in America are already decriminalized and the federal government cannot, and will not decriminalize. God forbid legalization...

You guys lost me with the "This is going straight to obama" (chuckled at that for a bit)

He's already stated his views on weed, and his workload is loaded with a few more important and urgent issues.

Obama has already pledged decriminalization and he's admitted to using it (including inhaling it) when he was younger.

Originally he said legalization, early on.

Anyway yea, he's a little busy to be browsing the web and reading these things right about now.

K1Ng5p4d3, Thankyou for that post I can see a lot of personal feeling went into that post rep+. We still need to go to the web site and vote to bring it to obamas attention to show how many people really use and benift from pot.

BITCHIMME, you can still vote for it. There are to many jackasses in the government to get it legalized. Here's my point. We all say legalize and they'll say no it bad. So maby they'll let us have the middle ground, decriminalized and medical. IF we have enough suport that is.

dude - relax. i understand this is an issue that you feel passionately about, but it's all been said and progress is already happening ass fast as it will. ONLY STATES can do something about this matter right now and they are. Michigan just legalized medical marijuana. Ohio is now decriminalized. Much of the Northeast and West is already set. Just relax. Nothing is being sent to Obama - that's not a downer - that's reality! Seriously man, you're cool and all, but these reactions are normal. When anyone takes up an issue with fervor and steamrolls their ideas in an aggressive manner, it will be met with much skepticism.

I just don't get it, if it were legal, and taxed, would there not be a lot less people in jail over growing it? If the people want it legalized it SHOULD be legalized. I agree with you to an extent but its in the best interest of the people to have it legalized. I see a lot more good coming from it being legal than illegal. Research being one of them. My brother has epilepsy and there has not been enough research done to do marijuana for epilepsy justice. I can see where you're coming from but fuck, this is madness.

what im wondering is whats the difference between change.org and change.gov..........both websites have the same voting thing and im not sure which one is legitimate if either of them are.....but on change.gov the weed questions are not on top 10

anyone know what the difference is?
