Not sure if this is the place

If you evap and cook it off it’s not present anymore. I use everclear also but don’t think it does as good a job imo.
If you evaporate straight iso with nothing else in it you'll see a residue left over. No thanks.

Not the iso I use. I use 99.8+% iso intended for fiber optic cleaner. That residue is most likely water marks
Maybe, anything higher than 95% will absorb atmospheric moisture. The fact is that you can get alcohol that is meant to be safe for consumption for around the same price point so why use something else?

Oh I don’t disagree with you at all and even went to everclear for a while. I’ve used both plenty of times. And for me I get the 99.8% free and it works better then 190 proof everclear. Now if I’m making a tincture then that a no brainer. But when I evaporate and then decarb the iso hash In the dish there is no trace left. I get up to 20% yields of Amber with iso. But it took a long time to get there.

So I can't get the 190 proof everclear however I found a grow shop that has 200 proof alcohol. Would that work in place of the iso?
25 bucks a gallon
