I started some plants almost 2 weeks ago and they grew at a really good rate for the first week or so but now it just doesnt seem like they are going anywhere they are only around 3 to 4 inches tall but look healthy as can be what could be the problem? Im growing under fluoro's because thats all i have the money for at the moment but im keeping them at 2 inches away at most and making sure not to overwater. Help!!!

The plants have likely stalled because the roots have grown out to the dry areas of those pots. Transplant and watch them take off again. :)

There's nothing wrong there man, just have some patience, if you don't have them now, you're gonna have a hard time not to cut 'em down early. Just remember good things come to those who wait.

P.S. If transplanting isn't an option yet, you should water them more often.(keep them damp most of the time, until you can get them into a bigger pot) Overwatering isn't a big risk when using those pots, since they dry out rather quickly and have excellent drainage.

trust this is likely what has happened
just give it time
dont give it any nutes just plain ph'ed water

they always seem like they are doing this
key rule aslong as they are not dieing there fine
trust me living cells don't stall they either divide or die

ps
you dont need to transplant

if you want to stimulate them a lil then a couple of times a day just flick them gently. the idea is to get the stalk to move as if it were wind, and it thickens up.

i'm not gonna lie, they look small for two weeks.

but they dnt look sick, so they're alright...

someone already said here, if they're not dieing they're ok, and they look alive.

I appreciate all the help there are like 30 of them and im gonna transplant most to a location outside this weekend and let them do as they will and transplant the 6 best into 3 gallon buckets and keep them inside but i just got home and watered them and i was noticing most of them have purple stalks and i was reading on here that means there is a phosphorus deficiency and that can lead to stunted growth is this true or should i not worry about it? Oh and i have a oscillating fan blowing back and forth across them at all times to simulate wind.

^You can also get purple stems from having too much nutes, so be careful. I use FF soil, and get purple stems alot when they are young, especially when i switched back to fluoros. They grow out of it as they get bigger and use up some of the nutes.

well the soil i used was basic jiffy starting soil i got with the jiffy pots said the nutes in it would last for a month and im usin straight water except for today i used some very diluted 12 4 8 miracle grow but im gonna invest in some FF soil and better nutes this weekend. Any other suggestions would be helpful and ill post a pic on here of the biggest plant i got right now its stem has a little purple on it but not like the others and i also noticed some leave curling and a few spots on some of them but i think this was mostly from them drying out too much i should have watered this mornin but was in a rush for work.
