Agreed, the Norths LDR doesnt have HBO or GLEE to wanna live to see that night so the U.S will demonstrate power as usual, but dont be surprised one day when 1 get hit by some mysterious missile or torpedo. God forbid the US tried going to War with the North, IT WOULD HAVE to be a SHIP/AIR / UAV war cause we would have SOOOO much Loss if we got on the GROUND. WE THINK IED's are bad in IRAQ.. If we had Troops walking thru N Korea Villages it would be horrible

I think this is a really risky move and i'm not sure who actually made the call to do this. Yeah we could light them up. But their no joke and their waiting for it while I don't think were ready for it. I worry they might be crazy enough to blast our ships if we get close to what they consider their teritory. I think if they blast us we would either show the global community a very weak hand by not retaliating or we would be forced to attack and I don't think Americans have the stomach for a real war. The losses we took during action in Korea were over 50000 and WWII was more Now I dont think people are that commited. I hope we don't go instigating them if we are not ready.

SEOUL -- The U.S. military announced Wednesday it is sending the USS George Washington Carrier Strike Group to Korean waters to take part in a joint U.S.-South Korean naval exercise, one day after North Korea bombarded a populated South Korean island near the disputed maritime border.
The strike group, which includes the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and four other ships, left Yokosuka Naval Base on Wednesday with 6,000 sailors and about 75 aircraft, said U.S. 7th Fleet spokesman Lt. Anthony Falvo. A South Korean spokesman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff said he did not know how many South Korean troops or ships would be involved in the four-day exercise.
Two South Korean marines were killed in the attack on Tuesday and the bodies of two civilian workers were found at a construction site on the island on Wednesday, South Korean officials said. Also, 15 troops and four civilians were injured during the attack, officials said.

Still. U.S is too Politically correct, N.Korea would happily do some drastic shyt. but its a bigger picture. china says its not involved but it is.. cause it N.Korea Attacked South the people would FLEE over the border into CHINA and China does not want that at all.

I'm not sure what were doing. will we keep that in international waters or near out south Korean base or will we try to go near N. Korea and China?

Not sure, the news release just says;
"The Pentagon has dispatched the aircraft carrier strike group led by the USS George Washington to the Yellow Sea for naval exercises with South Korea following the exchange of artillery fire between the North and South.
The exercises are likely to anger China which in the past pressed Washington not to send its aircraft carriers to the sea.
The U.S. military command in Seoul announced that the carrier will take part in exercises in "waters west of the Korean peninsula" from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1."

We indeed live in interesting times.

Actually I believe the training exercise scenario is the Military response to an attack from NK.

I did hear the north was pissed about the south doing stuff near them some other training excercises and that this attack from the north was in response to that

NK has been spoiling for a fight for some time now. Remember they torpedoed a SK Corvette & killed 45 or so sailors & threatened all out war if SK retaliated?
Sanity does not rule in the Political hierarchy of NK.

almost 30k U.S. troops near S. Korea. north cant invade without Killing U.S troops and they cant do that. China WOULDNT want N.Korea to invade cause S.Korea Would FLEE into CHINA and thats the last thing china wants to deal with.

the 25-30k US troops are already stationed in south Korea. If i remember they have just over 25 Army installations in South Korea. China doesnt want the North Koreans to flee into China if a war starts. which is a problem they have been having for a long time now. Also if there is a war in which other country get involved there is a 90% chance nukes will be used by the North Koreans first. Then this will bring a whole other outlook on life. No other country has backed the play of North Korea that i have read so far.

Yea, N.Korea if backed into a tight enough corner would detonate a Nuke anywhere IMO. anywhere, even if they cant launch it. they would go out with a bang for the hell of it.

A lot of Japanese don't even know that Japan has an air-craft carrier because the government calls it by another name. Japan has a larger Army than England. A lot of people don't realize that the Asian arms race has in part been fueled by America forcing Japan to buy it's weapons and increase it's force. Takes two to tango.
as far as i know, japan has no military..they unconditionally surrendered to US at the end of WWII..we own japan

and i wouldnt plan on any new wars with our current administration..that fucker(obama) wouldnt even go to war if we were directly attacked.

I don't want to be the guy that says it first, but if they hit any of our carrier strike group that headed into the Yellow sea - we're in it.
i really hope we would be...but obama isnt really the "commander in chief" type...he's more of the diplomatic "worry about what the world thinks of me" type..in one word..a pussy.

but NK would be out of their minds to attack us. and we would have pressure from china to stay out of it..because china owns our ass.

well i will go on record and say i dont want to see our troops in a war that has nothing to do with the US. we are already in a useless war no need to get in the middle of a conflict of 2 other country's. we already seen what happened the first time in Korea, i hope we dont have to see a second. to add congress can vote on an act of war even if Obama doesnt want it. Congress holds the the strings to the puppet we call a president. But if the N. Korean's send anything at our ships while in the area and not in n. Korean waters you better bet we would be in a second war nose deep in the shit all over again.
