Normal after transplanting?

A little update-

Looking a bit more perky, some of the lower growth seems to have dried up or died i guess, but the upper parts are all looking better.

Looks like a good bit of leaves are on the rebound, keep it up.

Right on, I thought most are looking better.


So going to move a few from the tray with hydroton, they are in 4 inch rockwool. Going to transplant them to 3 gallon pots. Put Them in indirect sun outside my house for 2 hours one day, 3 the next and so on for like a week. Does that sound good ?

Ya you just want to ease them into full sun. I think you have it figured out.

They are looking pretty similar still today. upper leaves ok lower look like poop. mostly dead, i think i’ll just cut off all the shitty looking/dead leaves to promote upper growth

Time just give it time. If your finding foliage that is dry and crumbles when you touch it, cut it off. Hopefully you don't find too much.

Spray mist them during the hot/sunniest part of the day and that will help them get on their feet.

Deff a few on each plant, just the bottom portion. Tops are looking nice

cannabis doesn't grow well in freaking mud. Get some better soil

I would also do what @ttystikk suggested too, it hadn't crossed my mind yet. But misting them with water will definitly help get water back into the leaves. Just don't drench them and leave them in the sun.

Might look like mud cause i just watered it. It’s just compost, native soil, bone meal, blood meal, rock phosphate, coast of maine plant food. Don’t think that’s why they are looking like that. I actually have some in roots organic soil and same thing, don’t think it has to do with soil. But maybe!

Right on, makes sense. I actually got a bunch of shrubbery and made shade for them today. stuck limbs in the ground and shaded them pretty well.

I agree looks like bad soil. You need perlite in the mix to get oxygen to the roots. They are suffocating.

I mean i have some in roots organic which looks like straight perlite, and same thing.

I was planning on putting 15 out this summer in 15 gallons. I can’t pay for that much bagged soil, so i made my own.


I still have a bunch indoors vegging, which i will be slowly hardening off in the same soil i made. So i guess we shall see.

I trimmed off the dead/crunchy leaves.
Yesterday added a bunch of foliage to shade them.

This is my first outdoor run. Just doing it because i have tons of land behind my house and live in middle of nowhere. Focus is my indoor. Would love to grow some great outdoor, hope they turn around.
I can’t go out and by a ton of bagged soil, so i’ll have to see how mine does. Maybe i could add perlite but i feel like once they are potted probally useless.

But if it was purely the soil, wouldn’t my vegetable garden also look like shit? since i used the same mix pretty much for both gardens? But my veggies are rocking out..

The problems you're having are not because of your soil. Yes you could be using a better mix, but you can grow just fine with what you have. Especially the ones in the ground.

Might want to add some mycorrhizal spores. Makes the plant more resilient to stress, especially moisture issues, and compacted soil. I have a hindu kush inoculated with spores and it's doing great despite the clay soil here.
On the plus side your girls look almost exactly like my hot peppers did when I skipped hardening off one year, and they all survived!

Sweet. I feel like cannabis can grow almost anywhere, sure quality will vary.

Hey! Damn! i was this close to putting mycorrhizae in the hole when i was transplanting, but for some reason opted not too. I think I will get it and top dress it essentially ?

They are looking better than they did 3/4 days ago so I’m hoping they are in the up nd up

For the spores to colonize the plant's they have to come in contact with the roots, top dressing probably won't work. If you're feeling brave enough you could dig a little ways down until you see the first roots and put some spores there. The mycorrhizae will colonize the whole plant themselves from there. You just have to be careful about damaging the roots since they've already been so stressed.
