After 20 days you should have some nice little buds. Maybe light is getting in during the dark period, also check your timer - my friend had a problem with flowering, it turns out his light was coming on for 15mins at 4.30 am.

Have they stretched much in the last three weeks?

Oh god the 15 minute fuck up. Did it once myself. Didn't find out for about a month when I was pulling my hair out wondering why half my plants were reverting back to veg.

GET SOME PICS BRO!!

its total darkness in my room...
no light at all unless i open it to do some work...
and yes theyre getting burned by the bulbs n shit!!!
i was thinking maybe it does this because plants usually have a growth spurt when switched to flowering??

If they were getting burned, or stressed in any way for that matter, the time it takes for pistils to show will be increased. The only other thing would be to lower the N content of the nutes and raise the P, K a pinch.

Ok, good, sometimes one of the tabs on the timer can get pushed up a milimeter and in turn it would turn the light on for 15 min.
If light from the room seeps out, light from outside the room can seep in. I dont mean to beat a dead horse, but sometimes people overlook the simplest shit. Anyways, if ur sure everything is fine then it was probably just stressed and u will be fine, just bne patient..

yeah bt the light from my growroom is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay stronger than the 7 watt bulb in my room!
n they are a little sterssed, but i find it rediculous that theres nadda!
the only stress i can find is that theyre clones and theyre stretching to the bulbs n getting burnt!!!
it just seems like thre is something im missing....................................................

I'll say it again then. Light!

Dude they may be bright, but I'm sure you can stare at them. Try starring at an HID light. Do you have a lumen meter? I doubt it. Do you have any idea how many lumens your achieving with those TWO bulbs?? It's not about how bright they look or how many watts they are. What matters is how much light they are ACTUALLY putting out.

But I may be mistaken, you seem to have a keen eye for how "bright" the light is.

hahaha
well theyre putting out around 8400 lumens for both bulbs...
not as much, but should be enough for them to at least show mini buds!
even my 2 23watt bulbs produced hairs in the first week or so!

oh n i mentioned brightness cuz i was letting people know that i knew the light was on!
not because i thought the lights were bright enough for flowering!

so i assume the clones were rooted in one area and transplanted to another right?? how rough of a transition was it?? ill be more than willing to bet you have a stress related problem.. first you lose a few days from the transplant.. depending on how rough it was to the plant, and even the plant itself, it can take a week to return to growth.. and if you put them directly into 12/12 without any recoup time under 24/0, it can take longer to recoup... then you said they keep stretching into the light and burning... so they have to repair themselves.. so they put the energy into fixing themselves instead of budding... add the two things together and you have no reason to worry... it would be common to have a longer flower time if you have those 2 things this early on with such a young plant.. give it time and it'll be fine... your lighting is enough to flower.. more light would help.. but its not a lighting issue.. and as long as you dont have light leaks your fine.. just try to keep the bulbs far enough away they wont grow into them.. or even gently tie your plants down to keep them from stretching into the bulbs...

the clones were in the flowering room.
im in the zero veg clone grow contest..
but the way things are looking i think im out!!!
they were in jiffy pellets and rooted in it..
but they were ent transferred to the hydro for a while..
then theres the comp clones...
rooted in a plastic container, transferred to jiffy when roots were short but abundant...
the only stress i see is leaving some of them in the jiffys too long...
oh n idk the strain...
its local...not exactly the shit, but its good stuff...
i havent seen many people clone the local stuff cuz they dont know how!

part of it could be a short root system... the plant will still have to focus on roots during the time its trying to produce buds.. that can tax a young plant and slow things down... this is especially true for hard to clone strains.. and if thats what you have then its not a total surprise bud producing is slowed.. just give her sometime and she'll catch up to where she should be...

ok that sounds like a prob!
the biggest plant has a beautiful root system!
but the ones staying short arent up to the big one..
well how long should i wait for bud formations ???
a week or two???

yeah.. it can set ya back a couple weeks.. its hard saying.. it just depends on how fast the plant recovers and can grow out their roots more.. definatly keeping them from burning their tops will help.. they are pretty much between growing their roots and repairing the tops with little regard for actually producing bud.. so keeping them from buring will allow them to focus more on buds and roots, and then just eventually on buds... giving them a light dose of some rooting hormones like root 66 or something similar, and spraying/feeding them some thrive alive will help speed things up too..

Yeah i've never completely agreed with flowering straight away... I know some folks won't agree either, but i believe any plant should have a very good root system already established before flowering. That could be your problem. The other posts are good to follow too. Best thing is to let them carry on and hope for the best. Im sure they will start some or other time, just be patient.

Good luck!
