There is a 3500K S4 listed on the LM561C data sheet. 31.0-33.0lm per LED at 65mA
I was only looking at the 80cri LM561C spec sheet, I guess I must have missed it somewhere else...

Can't find an s4 anywhere except in 2700k 80CRI, maybe you can expand my knowledge.. Throw the link up if you get a chance..

My bad, I've got an old revision. It had been a while since I looked at LM561C specs, so I just pulled up the datasheet I had on my computer. It's now out of date. Sorry for the confusion.

you bought 16 boards with 256 "lm 561c s6" + 40 660nm epistar for 397$? i thought you only bought 4 of them? what exactly did you buy for how many dollars?

Don't worry bout it. It's in here somewhere, you can find it. I did the chip count and using that criteria only, you overpaid $170 to get 52 less chips (of lm561c), let alone no 660nm (816 chips) :( ..

I hope you didn't have to pay extra shipping on top?

If I were you I would have just bought 8 boards per tent. You end up trading 112 of your 2160 white light for 384 660nm.

Plus you don't have to wire up 15 lights just 8 panels.

Plus it would have been ~159 + (any shipping not included in your stated total) euro less.

More chips means only .246w/chip vs .278w/chip, or 12.5% harder (8 panels vs only the 15 strips). Better effeciency, better efficacy, better spectrum, better price, better ingredients. Better pizza. Papa johns. :bigjoint:

But if you're a hobbyist like me and just wanted to spend the extra scrill, kewl. Idgaf what you do with your money. If you just like it better, word.

digikey price includes shipping and duties, only need to add VAT depending of country the shipping goes to, 19% in my case.
So 588 × 1.19 = ~700?

Or it was included and same amount as importing from China?

Honestly like i said I really don't care how you spend your money and it doesn't matter, I was just obliging your post with some logical reasoning.

Shipping was ~$15/4 boards plus $46/4 heatsinks. We didn't care about heatsinks ($10.11 each) or their shipping so...

$27 × (16 boards)

(304 × 16 = 4,864 Total)
(256 × 16 = 4,096 LM561c)
(048 × 16 = 768 660nm)


Add 1 more board to 17 and be at $522 total with 52 more LM561c although wouldn't translate into 2 tents well :/

When I said $270 I was refering to buying 8 boards, plus heatsinks, plus shipping, totaling ~$400/350EU.

I'm currently driving mine at 142w each or 568w per tent and keep them under 115°F/46°C with added cpu fans. Thats close to 77k lumens not including the 660nm. So for me it works out well as I have a light rail that lays along the perimeter in a square on the edges for supplemental and I couldn't add more than 4 panels. I make up my missing 1,200lm/ft2 of white light (6k lm/ft2 target) from the boards by using the light rail. The added 660nm is just a bonus in my eyes. So that's why I didn't buy 8 per tent like everyone is screaming lol

ps: the heatsinks destroyed your price advantage, i paid 84,69 eur (local pickup, no shipping) for 30 116,5cm long 20x20x2mm aluminium u-channels.

Well I'm sure I could have found a cheaper heat management solution but even at that rate its still considerably cheaper than buying 30 c channels on top of the already $236eu extra I'd be paying for that route. I can run 4 at 600w with heatsinks. So its just a matter of preference. Theres always a give and take.

But I do agree that if I didn't have the light rail already, 8 boards minus heat sinks and just connecting them with angle aluminium would be the way to go, imo at least...

And ya, I'm just counting the 660nm as a bonus, its not part of my total light needs calculation. But to get for free ontop of paying less, sign me up, but again, that's just me.

i usually build my lights for customers with the same u-channels but running them at 1050mA, that would have brought down the cost a lot too, just for my personal projects i like to spend a bit more, as the strips are still dirt cheap and still at around 2,6µmol/J

Lost...

I didn't use any u channel. If I didn't have a light rail I would have bought 8 panels and then I would have used u channel, but then I would have had to add that as an expense, not deduct it?

8 panels w shipping will cost $46/40EU ($246 total) more on top of any frame building nessecary, and/or u channel bought/needed, compared to 4 boards w heatsinks that don't require u channel.

do you work for free? just asking, because you forgot to put a price on all that time you already spent whining and justifying in this thread + your time arguing with rita + the time you'll need to talk with people who can do the testing for you + the time you need to ship stuff and receive it + the time you'll gonna need to keep on arguing with rita + alibaba and god who knows else till you eventually will get your money back.

For about ~100eu less you could have had a nice 9 panel spread with 4,608 total lm561c (plus the 864 660nm as a bonus), you could of had 12 panels per tent or 6,144 total lm561c for 588eu, but it's just preference.(ya, I'm trolling you back a little bit here :lol:, but I'm done)

Lol I just put on rachet straps. Baling wire spans the short ends, is malleable but holds its shape, and then 1 wire between the two spanning wires. Because its bendable but holds you can adjust level easy and the rachet strap is connected to the middle wire and center of gravity where you bent your wires to find. Then its just as easy as up or down :bigjoint:

There was a 4 all-in-one heatsink option that was pushed on me, but I wanted individual apparatus's as it gives me more versatility with what different plants need. I can lower for the shorts without messing up my talls. Or I can easily break out from a 4x4 and use em for multiple smaller spaces, just my personal preference for my personal needs.

I ordered 15ft extension cords that I'm using as my board wire. I'm leaving the plug on so that my boards will be 'plug n play'. 2 boards for driver, each board gets 15ft of movement on top of extension cord length wired into both ends of driver. This will allow me to keep my drivers outside of area, and make for ease of use moving around.

I'm wiring multimeter in at driver output. They are "a" style drivers so it's the same concept as a "b" but I was too stubborn to get "b" and buy the additional pot+display at the time so I'm now just buying a display and using the built in pot. Which I actually kind of like as I don't have to worry about power outages, or accidently bumping the knob somewhere I don't want.

Pics are not enough to validate flux bin according to AliBaba, and looks like due to nobody getting back to me about testing Ill get nothing back from trade assurance.

S5 is still a good chip, but pissed about the way I was treated and about the obvious bullshit lies. Fuck Rita.
