'Next gen' COBS?

Super expensive and low output per watt. High CRI is great for photography but a plant doesn't care, they just want photons.

I think they took a $3 generic cob and priced it at $83.

Aren't all types/brands of chips capable of emitting light similar to day light (5600K). Isn't the "cheap" COB from the video just with different color temperature from the Yuji one?

You don't need high CRI to grow a quality product and my opinion is high CRI is not what you want. High CRI is what you want for color rendering for human vision and photography. Plus that COB is a turd as far as efficiency goes.
Hahaha is a turd as far as efficiency

Plants do need the right spectrum of light to grow correctly though and many would argue a balanced spectrum is better for the plants, what did intrest me about these leds is the spectral graph they indicate and the levels of the spectrum....i am intrested if cree has one with a better efficiency, comparable spectral output and better price.

I would like a single cob to use in a diy for all stages of growth.

CXB3590 or CXA2 Studio
90CRI 3000K BD CXB3590 even has a very nice efficiency
