Newly transplanted clones not doing well

My tap was 8.2 so I though I should take it down a bit, went too far and thought I had to compensate into an acceptable range. I guess this is how ya learn though!
If that happens again...just dump some out and use tapwater as ph up. I works for me and my water is 7.5 ph. If you massively overcorrect...then just dump it and start over. Indeed...lots of what we do is trial and error. 8)

Geezy,
Apparently it was something that you did. Sheesh dude...this is a soil grow right? Why all the hoopla over ph?

Wait so PH levels is not that important when you plant in soil? Please explain to a noob like me in detail if you can. Thanks in advance!

Soil grows do OK with a wider range of ph...sort of self buffered. Lots of info out there...

Thank you for responding, so it's basically unnecessary to pick up one of those ph testers from say Amazon then? Also do you happen by any chance to have a link to soil and ph levels? Thank you so very much in advance.

PH absolutely matters doesnt matter what medium or style growing one uses PH has to be in range or Nutrients will get locked out then problems start happening. But if a soil is mixed just the right way it will self regulate the PH so you dont really need to PH the water. But even then a good Soil PH meter can come in handy when having to trouble shoot. If using a mixed organic soil like the Op's fox farms ocean forest you would be wasting time by PHing the water. Although if you use bottled nutrients you would need a PH pen as some are extremely acidic and a PH up would be required. If using organic amendments and top dressing a soil meter can also come in handy in determining what to top dress to bring or keep the PH in range. Hydro growing you are going to live by the water PH pen. So really all depends on what way you want to grow , but PH always matters
