Newbie here! I always look forward to new (realistic) advice for bettering something I love.

I have been tooling around this and a few other sites gathering information for my future grow. It will only be a personal stash but I am still taking every precaution.

I see a lot of individuals posting pics that were obviously hosted somewhere. How private can that be?! I use a proxy to be cautious and I never give any of my real info. Even my email I used to register was setup using a proxy and I never log in unless using it.

But what about picture hosting. I also used that same email to register there too. But if I have them host a picture and I link it to this or any other forum will there be any ability to trace back to me (the real me)?

Or am I being too cautious?

lol ur being way too cautios. the cops arent going to go around picture hosting sites and then having to find the IP of the computer that uploaded the picture. then they have to track down that IP to find the location just to find the person. dont worry as long as you dont post them on facebook and myspace your all fine

with pic's the thing is are you using an old camera??? you see all current cellphones and most new camera put GPS data in the pic file indicating exactly where the pic was taken it's called exif data (you can gogle it) I run my pics thru a program called Graphic Workshop to re-write the data before uploading them, so they don't have to look for an IP address they can simply download the pic and look at the data, everyone needs to know this!!!!!!!!!

You can also take a screenshot of of your pic after you load it to your comp, then paste it to whatever (gimp, mspaint, corel, etc) and save it, only the pic will be transferred, not all the excess information... course nothing beats low tech and a scanner, if you have a poloroid you can just scan in the image. Be careful on imaging software, often it saves some of your info to the file if you gave it during the install...
