Newbie...what is the best way to get going

you have a few options..
1) go straight into the pot you are going to grow them in... be it soil or hydro.. make sure if its hydro you are using a very weak nute solution until the roots are formed well... soil should provide everything the seed needs in the beginning... just add water..
2) you can place in dixie cups with soil
3) you can place in root riot cubes or rockwool cubes or jiffy pellets and place in a green house until they establish roots.. just make sure to let the green house breath....
those are a few options..
now are you talking about throwing the little sprouts into a clone type setup?? something that can be used to take cuttings, so that the sprout can establish roots in it like a clone would?? because that would work also.. but seems like a lot more moving around than you need too do...

right.........1.Dont mess with hydro at all cos you need basic plant experience first.
2. Dont spend huge amounts of money on seeds or setup because the first grow is the time to make mistakes and learn.
3.Keep things simple so that problems are easier to resolve.
4.take a long time reading the RIU.org threads and talk to the people here. Its alot more usefull than looking in a book!
5. BE WILLING TO LEARN AND TAKE ADVICE!!!!!!!!!

also, check out forumers journals, find one that would be easy for you.....it helped me out when i startedHi guys Im gonna start growing but Im unsure on how to START......what would be the best way of germing my seed to get started

growing is as easy or as complicated as you want...
it can be as easy as throwing a seed in some soil under some light, watering when needed, and feeding it very basic nutes..
or it can be a 10000 dollar setup where everything is digitally controlled and feeding schedules are precise 3 part systems with additives and theres co2 tanks and water chillers and... well you get the picture...
the idea is to find your comfort zone.. keep your goals realistic... find out the basics and go from there.. it doesnt take a lot to grow weed.. and once you learn to grow, growing great amazing weed isnt difficult either.. its just like anything.. you gotta crawl before you walk...
