newbie Contemplating Hydro

Hello all you water toting tokers. I am considering Hydro, however im unsure. I understand its 20-30% faster than soil. I am considering this because I have a 6 bulb t5 setup and in order to make up the difference of not having a MH i figured this would help me make up some of the ground. (I chose tubes, due to heat issues) If I where to start doing hydro, would it be recommended that I wait a week or 2 before placing them in their hydro tanks? I have started them in "peat pellets" waiting on them the sprout, I dont know if I should leave them in the pellets or If I should remove them and place them in something else. Are peat pellets ok/good to use for hydro? I have heard that Rapid Rooters could be used but again I dont know. If anyone with a decent amount of experience could help me in the potential set up I would be greatly appreciative.

if your growing dwc peat pellets should be fine with some hydroton around them.
