Newbie and led help

Hey
New to this site. Hello all
Please dont haze too much
I was looking at setting up 1 or 2 plants for some medical issues ive had for a long time. Im trying to look at led lights. Id like to spend less than $500 on the lights (if possible, i could go higher if it gives me much better option)
Main reason i want led is cooler and less fire hazard (due to heat) and less on my power bill
I was looking at sf3000 or sf5000 from spider but i was reading some scary stuff bout the sf4000
Theres a hydro store near me but they sell MH and HPS
I dont want to run these types.
I really would appreciate some honest suggestions and help
I wanted to do a grow tent with carbon filters etc... just wanting for a couple plants but if possible with an option to grow for 3-5 plants maybe in the future.
Thanks

What size tent are you looking into? And BTW Mars Hydro 2000 watt is 300 watts unlike Spider farmers is only 200 or 250 I forget.

Im actually going to do like a 3ft or 4ft
I have a couple heirloom veg i wanted to grow as well
Again just trying to figure out, any suggestions are appreciated

4x4 tent something like this:

I think 3x3 i dont think ill have room for a 4x4 but if i can get it to fit, ill do a 4x4. But being realistic i think its gonna be a 3x3
I like the light listed above but i looked on the link, would the board with the 2 for $399 work good for just a couple plants?

4x4 tent something like this:
I'll second this one- I'm rocking the 650 RSPEC for my 4x4 and it KILLS. You could just run it at lower power and even get it closer to the plants... the fixture itself is small enough to fit in a 3x3.

Prior to that upgrade, I was running a Mars Hydro TS2000W and produced pretty solid buds with no fires/electrocutions (but I've heard plenty of the stories on here).

You could also build your own (from strips) or do a QB kit from HLG. Two of these would dominate a 3x3 for instance...

Or one of these...

If you go a 3x3 the Mars Hydro TSW2000 will do fine for a couple plants. And the light I think is 250$.
I run the Mars as well. Do u think for a 3x3 that a 2000 is better than running 2 1000’s I have 2 of the 1000’s and debating if should be using one 2000 or is it all the same. Seems better with the two when moving the light closer to plant than just running one for a better spread of the light on multiple plants

I would say running the two 1000s because they would cover a bigger flower foot print then one light.

Im not well versed enough in electricity to build my own boards.
I kinda am hoping for a 'plug n play' solution
I know enough to be dangerous, lol got lit up on 120 and 240 and neither were fun

But those kits, basically i just need to mount them
I might do that

Thats exactly what im looking to do, thats perfect.
Great looking plants!
You have any suggestions for good tent and carbon filter venting?
I saw the ones on spider, i was going to get one of those
And order the hlg 300l rspec
But i appreciate any other suggestions
Thanks again!

Thank you!

I use CoolGrows tents, affordable and easily replaceable. I know there are higher quality tents but I have no light leaks in these as they also sit in a dark room but I have sat inside and it was darker than the inside of a cow. No zipper issues either.

I do not use a carbon filter...I told the old lady (she does not partake) to complain if the smell becomes offensive but she says she cannot smell it unless she opens the tent to look inside. Currently smells like blueberries in there though and everyone loves that haha. But I do have an AC infinity cloudline t6 with carbon filter in boxes incase I run across a pungent strain...hasn't happened yet.

Hey Dank
So i spoke to horti light co. They are suggesting the HLG 350R light its only $66 more over the 300L Rspec.
They are saying it would be a better light
And can handle a 3ft or 4ft tent as well
I was worried about electricity consumption but they said it would run an extra $8 (avg) per month.
Im kinda relying on elders here for advice and knowledge
Can you let me know your thoughts?
Thanks
