hey buddy - idk how this thread got 7 pages deep in less than 48hrs, but i can guess its RUI led users sick burns and infighting - either way,im not reading the whole fucking thing but i could suggest you look into ebays selection of high bay leds - they have some 150watters from 35$ that supposedly kick off 15000lm and have a couple color temps to chhose

if it was me , id get about 5 for your budget and get to growing....

Advising someone to buy low quality lights that will underperform is not trying to be positive. It's just bad advice. I'm not saying you don't mean well, I'm sure you're a nice person. That being said, why would you not want someone to have the best quality light possible within the buyers price range? That doesn't seem positive or helpful to me.
 
This is a horrible idea. Never buy Chinese LED panels from Amazon or eBay. If you want to talk about experienced growers, any experienced grower will tell you that. As an experienced grower who switched from 2 ViparSpectra V450s to 1 89w COB before buying a bunch more: when 89w > 412w, AND it’s in your price range or $50 more than the cheap, useless blurple boards, you go with the 89w.

If you’re growing using lumens, you’re wrong. Learn PPFD.

Where cam I get a good ppfd meter?
Those mother fuckers are expensive. $300-$500 for a PAR spectrometer. When you buy from a COB retailer (don’t go with Chinese knockoff COBs, either; Cree CXB3590s, Bridgelux Vero29Cs or SEs, Citizen CLU048-1818s are what you want; 3500k, 80 or 90 CRI) if it’s a pre-assembled fixture, they will list the PPFD. If its a kit you need a frame for, check similar builds with the same emitters and current, and you should get about the same reading. General rule is, 200-250w of COB is about the same PPFD of 600w of HPS (900-1200) at 18”.

  • Meanwell HLG-120H-54A LED Driver. 93.5% Driver Efficiency
  • 6FT Nema 5-15P 16/3 SJTW NA Power Cord or equivalent for standard 120VAC with cable connector
  • 2ft solid core Wire, 2x Wago Connectors for DC wiring
  • Hanger Clips
