New pollen chucker

Hey I'm brand new to the forums. Came to learn. Had an inzane clone that was special and my buddy had a beautiful lambsbread male he was gonna toss . So I stopped by grabbed the male and cut the branch w the most pollen sacks on it and started introducing the females to this guy . Long story short, I created seed that come to find out is a great cross ! What is the proper way to stabilize and create more seeds? Also just wondering by doing this will I lose that f1 vigor I am seeing w the seeds I created prior. Ty

Also should I have kept the original male and or the pollen from him? I still have some but it's been a year and its prob not viable?

Seems like genetics disappear when the male dies. Would lead me to believe that pollen doesnt store very long.
Only real way to find out is to chuck that pollen and see if its still effective.
@genuity @Amos Otis , @thenotsoesoteric could answer this better than myself. Apologies to anyone else i missed. Chuck on :)

What are you trying to stabilize?
Terps?
Growths?
Flower formation?
Flower time?
No herms?
No balls?

All of thee above?
If all of thee abovementioned, then find something that has most of them traits on lock.

Best way to make more seeds,just use the males and females in a open pollination.
(Use them seed to grow and learn more about the plant)

It's seems hectic,but it's not..only thing that matters is learning.

I guess I'm happy w the seeds now, great vigor and resin production . So from there just terps. So find the terpiest female and male and cross them ? Granted the rest is desirable . Sound correct? Thanks so much for responding

Yeah it seems like every grow I'm kind of torn whether or not to do it cuz I want a good yield. But lately I've been buying really expensive seeds so I'm probably going to be more likely to do it having a better pool of genetics to work with

You gonna lose hybrid vigor as you stabilize the cross but that's expected.

To stabilize the cross, cross the F1s to create the F2's and so on

You can...
Cross 1 male to 2 or more females (of your likings)
Mix the male pollen (if you have several males) and cross to your best females

Your goal is to create as many phenotypes that are available
Down the road (several F generations later), all those phenotypes will recombine to make for a stabilize starin

It's entirely up to you.. If you just want to keep making F1s or what current F is that male then that's fine.

Personally, I dont keep male pollens. As soon as I get my current F generation, I'm pretty sure that out of those seeds there would be males, those would be my future pollen donors.

I keep my F going forward (toward stabilizing the strain)
