hey everyone, I'm a new grower but I know a bit about hydroponics, the only things that confuse me are nutrients and which nutrient brands are best, no clue how to figure how much nutrient to use. Also any advice about growing with florecents?;-)

well im new to but i heard lots of ppl using Big Bloom but do im also looking for more info in this topic
Any nutrients will work really, but finding the best for each individual plant can be difficult. Do you want organic or inorganic nutes? Synthetic nutes will be somewhat easier as you can use H2O2, but some people prefer a organic approach. A lot of people like the fox farm line up (grow big, tiger bloom, ect). Other popular formulas are GH using the Lucas formula. Basically you use GH micro + bloom the entire grow. The other nutrients I've seen used are the botanicare line-up.

Ionic is a simple, effective and relatively inexpensive line. Grow, Bloom & Boost. Couldn't be easier.

But GH has a very nice website that will tell you when and how much of everything to add. I'm thinking about going that way. http://www.generalhydroponics.com/calculator/index.html

There are a couple other lines everyone seems to enjoy. I haven't really heard of any to stay away from. Pick one that's appropriate for your application and one that is available on the shelf at your local hydro shop. Pick a brand and do some web research on it. If the instructions are clear, you'll feel a lot more confident going forward and forking over big $.

Get a good tri-meter.

Well my opin. is that fox farm is the best organic and it isn't to expensive ethier.
it's pretty good for ph ing too.

Good results here with both GH and pura vida (altho pura vida is a lil pricey) if you guys havent already try messenger its proteins that trick your plant into thinkin its sick and in turn get stronger. Google it. I use as a foliar spray once monthly with good results
