Hah. sorry.
go with the ultra haze and get on it as soon as possible.
you'll still get a decent harvest.
or do both!
k fug it! I'm starting ASAP and I'm going to make my closet a little grow room. It's about 2.5 x 4 so I'm not sure if that's enough room, but I don't plan on doing this inside at all. I'd like a natural, outside grow, without the cost of an electric bill. This is most likely the only spot in the house I can even do it in, so it would need to be the seedling/start of vegetative stage, then outside.

I'm conflicted.

I'm not sure if starting now will be too early since I've got WW, NL x Skunk and Thai SS. The last frost is recorded as 4/20 :hump:

Should I just start the Ultra Haze now and then in a month start the other strains?

Either way my plan was to take a bunch of cups (depending on the germination results) and throw Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil to the brim and make that the seedlings home under 2 fluorescent lights for a month and a half. I do have a feeling that they will grow way too big, too fast and I'll be having a problem with where to put them.

yea just keep the light restrictive and groom a LOT!
you will have some bushy plants that will bud everywhere!
don't forget a good carbon filter too!

A carbon filter for seedling/vegetative?

You think it's too early to start Ultra Haze? I think it's going to get massive in my tiny closet.

yea they still stink a little bit. at least my friends did enough outdoors to attract the coppers!
yea it's probably a little early. maybe wait 2 to 3 weeks? how many plants are you starting?

ugh let's see

NL x SS - 10 Female
Arjan's Ultra Haze #1 - 5 female
Thai SS - 10 free regular
WW - Female

so a potential 26 plants, probably average around 20 healthy plants max.

I might still order these Mandala's and say fug it and save these Ultra Haze. Either way Ima gather supplies now and start March like 9th.

if you do can do it right expect a wicked heavy harvest but im still not sure about them being able to complete flowering in this region. Also last year i started germ. on 4/20 and the plants first night outside was 5/15 and they did perfectly fine

lol really? noice, what kind of strains you growing this year? Yea I'm prob going to save these haze's for an indoor grow when I can top them and spend the $ on electricity.

I really want to try out Mandala's Satori, I think I'll be able to finish this one since I'm below the 45 degree mark and it finishes in October. Should I just be super safe and get the Mandala #1? Both really potent strains, I just like the Satori better.

I've got a very close eye on my crop and it's not very far from my house, so I'll have plenty of water sources.

Keep your eyes peeled whoever is out there watchin this, I'm going to receive my Mandala Satori seeds within the next few days, by that time I should have most of my supplies bought and will take pictures of my closet grow for the seedlings.

Watch out about it being on your property if it is.
It is, but it's like in the woods.

It's not directly in my backyard in plain view and I'm using surrounding pine trees as camoflauge.

Thanks for patiently waiting guys, I appreciate the follow ups and I'll be posting very very soon.

Could I get away with buying this for my regular grows seedling/vegetative stage AND for starting/finishing my lowryders?: http://cgi.ebay.com/Compact-T5-GROW-...QQcmdZViewItem

Please let me know, I plan on starting ASAP and I'm still confused on lighting. I don't want to spend a lot or get 2 types of lights, because I plan on moving them outside and harvesting the lowryders at the same time. Last frost is estimated at 4/20 and the radius for my closet is 4'x3'.

I'll be starting all of this (definitely this time) this week and have most of the supplies will be bought by Wednesday. Pictures will be posted soon.

Once again, any recommendations or suggestions are greatly welcomed and appreciated.

Day 1. Dun dun... :fire:

It's been a long wait, but I'm glad it's here. I started my setup today, grabbed as much supplies as I could with the money in my pocket to get the seedlings going.

Equipment

  • 4 x 23W CFLs (65,000k)
  • 20 x Plastic Cups
  • Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil :bigjoint:
  • Guard dog protecting my seeds
  • Shitty cell phone camera

I have 2 of the lights suspended from a round piece of wood I can roll back and forth to accommodate light to the seedlings. I also have 2 lamps on the sides for once they get a little bigger.
I plan on purchasing at least 4 more of these, all suspended for about 1.5 months in vegetative, until transplanted outdoors late April/Early May.

Seeds :eyesmoke:

  • 10 x Northern Lights x Super Skunk (feminized)
  • 5 x Arjan's Ultra Haze #1 (feminized)
  • 5 x Thai Super Skunk (non-sexed free pack)
  • 1 x White Widow (feminized and free pack)
  • 10 x Mandala Satori (non-sexed coming in the mail shortly)

I'll be buying in the near future some mylar and a thermometer/hydrometer. I'll add the oscilating fan once they've sprouted and something to catch excess water.

I couldn't find ANY mylar today while I looked! I went to Walmart and Home Depot and I couldn't find any wrapping paper or blankets that containted any. Only after going to the hydroponic store that just opened 2 months ago, did I find "reflective material". $17.95 for 7'. :wall:

Might just bite the bullet and grab it when I go back to buy nutes and such.

I know, it looks pretty ghetto right now (2nd grow :dunce:) but hopefully within the next couple weeks it'll be improved.

Once again, thanks for all the support so far I appreciate all comments and suggestions, now a view of the setup.
