New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

Hadn't heard about it, but it doesn't surprise me.

Mass isn't a liberal state at the local level. We have a bunch of conservatives running around with a "D" next to their name because they know it's the only way to get a job. But they aren't liberal or progressive by any means.

It's part of the Koch's strategy. It works because they know people just don't pay attention.

It probably won't go anywhere. But that doesn't mean they aren't trying, and more importantly, I don't hear the voices demanding reform of asset forfeiture laws.

The actual bill is stupid on so many levels it boggles the mind. It doesn't even define what a hidden compartment is. Cars are built with hundreds of voids, you just don't know they are there, but if you have a side door panel come loose, there they are.

We need to start primarying these idiots out of the political gene pool.

I think all of you should call your local and state representatives and remind them that you still have constitutional rights and you like them the way they are.

I have a feeling this will be nothing more than another charge they can pin on the people already being charged for things they'd need a hidden compartment for.

I can just see my clickbait arrest headline now:
"A 48 year old man was arrested and his vehicle confiscated because police found a hidden compartment. What was inside will SHOCK you!"

In a routine traffic stop, police found a hidden compartment in the vehicle of a 48 year old man. The contents included a box of crayons, a teddy bear and a coloring book entitled Safe Spaces. His attorney was laughing too hard to comment.

It could happen.

I'm still not sure why a hidden compartment is automatically considered evidence of a crime. A common option in Chrysler brand minivans is 'stow n go', a HIDDEN COMPARTMENT installed by the manufacturer for the purpose of giving the owners a place to keep valuables out of the public eye.

That right there is a 'legitimate use' of such compartments, nevermind the fact that such a prohibition is a clear violation of the citizen's right to a presumption of innocence and protection against search and seizure without due process.

The law seems to only include after market alterations, but it also says you can't use an existing hidden space. It contradicts itself.

Oh, and it defines just the presence of a hidden compartment as prima facia proof.....

Knuckleheads. Why not just say being in a sports car is prima facia proof your intention was to speed, so you are automatically guilty of speeding if a cop says so.

It is exactly the same logic.

If you own a gun, you're about to use it so it's okay to shoot you...

BLAH BLAH BLAH...THAT is what i hear when lawmakers talk about cannabis.
alcohol literally kills more people every day than anyone can imagine. it kills families it kills futures it kills peoples dreams (including mine), it is a horrible substance. YET....it is totally socially acceptable, splashed all over TV with people laughing and having a great time, no limits to how much you can purchase, no limits to how much you can have in your fridge, no locks needed to store it, etc.

Yeah, keep making ridiculous laws and regulations in regard to cannabis which has killed ZERO. makes me sick.

THIS BLONDE NEEDS A LITTLE HELP!

I have (2) LED panels in my tent:

(1) Galaxyhydro 300w LED Grow Light Full Spectrum (140 true watts at wall)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00INM0750/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

(1) MarsHydro Mars 300W LED Grow Light Full Spectrum (132 true watts at wall)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XC3LBI2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I was told that for a good grow, I should have at least 30 “true wall watts” per square foot
of tent and that since my tent is 4x4 I would need 480 true wall watts. Uh-Oh.

Well, the blonde that I am, I saw my grows were going OK..and was going by the Mars “300” and the Galaxy “300” and I thought I had 600w cranking in my tent 20 hours a day and was ahead of the game…..oops~ I only have 272 true wall watts in there.

I know it is true wall watts when dealing with CFL's...but its true wall watts when dealing with LED's also? Sigh...do I need more LED's for the full potential of my plants??

As long as you can cover your plants with lights(they have small footprint) you will be fine- I grew 4 WW autos to 55" with 2 300 wt. LED and my current 5 by 5' tent has 4 300wt. for 4 plants(1 per plant). And they are pushing 36" and very healthy.

I don't think those will be enough. They are small and not very efficient.

i know that hps is better, but i cant control the heat. sigh.
Maybe a cob upgrade? With my central air conditioning I'm having troubles keeping the heat up in my tent. I know I would love to have a small project of putting it together. Even with my $7 ghetto frames they have been working great. About 240w from the wall for each bank of 4 cobs. I use 2 banks (8 lights 480w) in my 5x5. It's a little short on light for my 5x5 but would be great for a 4x4.

That sounds like an idea...COB seems to be the preferred way lately.

My issue is this. right now I dont care how many watts are being pulled from wall because my electric is included in my rent, and my landlord is a di*k. ha ha.

however, my son recently did purchased a house...yay! i will be renting it, and will be responsible for the electric.....not yay. One thing is sure, I will be going from 20/4 to 16/8...but I dont want to go back to my 4x2...I adore all the room inside the 4x4. the COB setup you mention might work?? I want to keep watts from wall UNDER 500 since I will have to start paying national jerks, i mean, national grid.

I want to get the best coverage and use of those watts being pulled from the wall. I mean, you can have 4 shitty grow lights pulling 500 from the wall and your plants dont benefit at all, or one GREAT one pulling 450 where your plants thrive and flourish.

I just dont know what is the best light source for both veg and flower that will benefit my plants to their fullest potential, wont have to pull ridiculous watts from the wall, and heat wont skyrocket. hmmm.... sometimes i wonder about these led's from china. I hear so much about COB lighting, and should check more into it, I am clueless....and would definitely need help :-)

"@ 16 square feet you could run only 8 cobs and get just over 700ppfd @480watts from the wall.

citizen 1818 3000k @ 90cri
https://cobkits.com/product/citizen-clu048-1818-90cri-choice-of-color-temps/

Note the 3000k, it's got loads of red for flowering and justover 50% blue, which is 49% more than a standard hps has lol, and 30% more blue than a hortilux super hps bulb has.

There's no need whatsoever forseparate spectrum lights @veg/flower with cobs."

I would also suggest using an agromax pure UV bulb for an hour a day. (15 minutes per hour for 4 hours). Minimal electricityusage.

Judge for yourself how effectivethey are. Here is my 5x5 @6weeks with my three plants &480 Watts. Just did my 20%defoliation couple days ago and they are still loving life. (Yellow is from the bad genetics of myMisty Kush) 20170719_142908.jpg 20170719_142742.jpg

I have read that "COB's have an improved lumen-per-watt ratios in comparison to other LED technologies". the 700 ppfd he mentions stands for Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density, and is the same as PPF, but takes into account the surface area too, yes?....

anyhoo.....how do you get the COB's you buy set up electrically on 2 panels to hang? Do you have to construct your own hanging panel from ground up? uh-oh~ I might be a martha stewart wanabee, but I am no electrician or carpenter. Heatsinks, passive or active cooling, etc.... way to much for me to fathom, never mind construct. Do they make them already constructed in the wattage I need, but dont cost arm and leg??? every time i try to investigate COB it always involves constructing it yourself. that sounds like a recipe for danger for this blonde!
