I'll be going to local Home Depot tom to buy some 6" X 25' duct hose. I have a 2' charcoal scrubber. I'm going to hook up tom and get running. Been busy this week with work. But I'm def noticing that it's time. I'll run that for my room and then when I veg I'll need to get a bigger one for my tent set up In a couple months.

So I did some work to my room today went to home cheapo and got some shit. Hooked up scrubber and hose.
One of my plants is looking a little stressful at the moment but I think it's possibly from the move and all. Just the bottom leaves on her.

So I'm curious I'm running a 400w MH right now. I also have a 1000w MH. Can and should I be vegging with that light set up instead. For some reason guy at store told me to go with the 400 when I went there for a 600 ballast bulb combo.

If you can manage the heat, yes. They are big enough they should be able to handle it. If its dimmable, start out low and bring it up over several days.

I'm at 18" right now above them. I can rearrange some things in order to get more distance from lights to plants.

34-16 was shaky?

Boonies?! There is no such place in MA! I mean, where can you find yourself a day's hike or more from the nearest town? Colorado has LOTS of such places...

Worcester is actually the second largest city in New England after Boston. That surprises a lot of people since it is a small city, but it shows you how small the overall population is relative to land mass. Boonies is a relative term though. Still pretty nice out here. And legal. Did I mention legal? ;)

I'll tell you this though, you couldn't beat the smile off the owner of the local hydro store. The place is packed every time I go in there and people are buying crap like the end of the world is coming. Full 10x10 grow rooms fuill of gear. All newb's. Craigslist is gonna be full of new tents this time next year.......

When my neighbors are 1/4 mile up road and I'm surrounded by 1000's of acres of undeveloped land and have Turkeys, deer, and bears visiting-that qualifies as boonies( I lived in Col. in late 70's @ 9200' on backside of Pikes Peak in a small cabin and That was real Boonies.)
Brady had 2 interceptions(matching entire season), so yeah, in spite of score- a bit shaky.
Had a laugh on your comment on Hydro store(is that HTG? in Shrewsbury?) Can only imagine.

Thats the one. Busy as hell. Of course they really don't have any competition close by. The big box stores are still in winter mode, stocking nothing but ice melt, so if you want anything basic for growing anything (I'm about to start some blueberry and blackberry bushes) they are the only store nearby.

Alright lots of great information. I fucking love it! Keep it flowing I will have lots of questions some good some bad. Some I can easily find the answer to and will decide to ask it here any ways. Lol. So I bought ph tester couldn't get it. To Fucking calibrate properly. Then the thing broke 30 minutes later after still trying to calibrate. I'll show pic in a min. So just been doing color test paper on my oh for now with oh up and down product. I'm also using a product for veg roots as of right now that I layer in when I transplanting last night.
My house is already at as small as the plants are starting to stink when you walk in the door. Which wife is having a problem with since my father in law which is a copper. Came over to get our son tonight. Haha. I'm inly in a few weeks of veg. Haha.
So I have a 1000 setup MH HPS bulb ballast all that. The guy at hydro store told me to buy a 400 setup and run my veg like that and 1000 for flower. Is this wrong or what. I don't give a fuck about money saved on electricity. I want a killer fucking set of bushes in my house. To grow a tonnage of marijuana. BaHahaha. Thoughts on this last part please cause it's not to late to switch out lights bulbs ballast.
.they're going to stink big time. The amount of smell was something I didn't believe until I had 4 plants in flower. Tell her dad to suck an egg. It's legal.

The grewers roundtable on youtube discussed stink and brought up a good point. Even if you scrub the hell out of your tent, they said once you harvest your whole house is going to stink. Anyone at your door or visiting will know. Guess you need a room scrubber for the workspace in addition to the tent..........

The term boonies is common in mass. But not really can you get lost in many of the forest we have except maybe the cape cod Myles standing forest in Plymouth carver. It's over 75 miles of woods ponds trails biking hiking. Place is really cool if you've never been. Just don't drop seeds there after all it's a state and federal forest. Lol. But no we are nothing like the beautiful Colorado. We're more like a state of assholes stuck in one place. Haha.

It's only my small plants in veg that are smelling. My house will wreak no matter what the fuck I do once flower comes around. But I did hook up my scrubber yest and smell has completely diminished.

Also so I hooked up my 1000mh bulb ballast. I put the glass back on the lamp cuz the shit was def going to heat up my room it's come up about 8 degrees already from an hour ago. Now I'm going to run duct to and from light with the fan I already had stationed there. I didn't really need it for the 400 set up. So IMO if you're running a 400MH the fan and ducting is kinda over kill depending on where your set up is. Idk about tent. I'm in basement in a cold space with no heat in there and light does all the tricks in the world to keep my space at an even 77 degrees at 400MH.
Now I'm at 83 degrees with the 1000mh. With ducting running to and from I should be able to bring that back down to a nice comfortable level.
