Is anyone using Coast of Maine soil or amendments? Found them over the weekend and they make a cannabis specific super soil that looks interesting.

So we find ourselves with the "right" to possess, grow, and consume, yet we can't legally buy seeds, clones, or finished goods.

Btw, there is a dispensary in Boston somewhere that will gift you 5 seeds if you ask. I saw a news article about it. It's their way of seeding the suppliers.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you can't clone autos. The cross with ruderalis that gives them their autoflower capability, also creates a bad clone attribute. You can take cuttings and they will root, but unlike photos, you're not going to get a new plant starting from scratch. You'll get a duplicate of the plant you took the cutting from at the same stage of development. SO if you are 5 weeks into veg and ready to go to flower, your clone will flower at 3 or 4 inches since it thinks it's been vegging for 5 weeks

HI Greg! I saw that news thing about Boston too. Yes, this is so confusing, we can grow but cant buy seeds or clones, what are we supposed to do, drop them out of our arse? WTF....

Funny, I was just given a free bag of KIND SOIL, sort of like what you are talking about. (all sort of mimicking Subcool's "super soil") Its all new to me. says you dont need nutes at all. you put this HOT organic soil down the bottom of the pot and cover with regular soil up top of pot.

I'm not asking to clone autos bud. Lol. What I was saying is. If I can grow them in my veg room next to my photo plants. That's great news. Since I don't have to change light and just mix em in. If I buy autos I'm def going to buy feminized autos. No point in dicking around with waiting for male and female. Spend the money and make it happen inside 3 months yah hope with decent yields.

I cant imagine not getting fem seeds. All this time and effort and worrying (and Im only into this about a week!) , then its a male. I would shit bricks twice and die.

So here's my two cents on buying and growing and cloning yada fucking yada. Do what the fuck we've always done as people involved in the pot industry. Make it fucking happen safely and discretely. Fuck em! My two common cents. The conservative Fookers will try and keep this shit from happening for as long as they can. You won't be able to buy a joint from a store for 2-3 years. Look at the full casinos. There still are none. Behind the fucking 8 ball. Ri will legalize weed next year and they will have shops and stores before we do. You just watch. Fucking slow shit state.

Also I'm swarming our board here. Haha. I feel much more confident buying and building my own COD may take a little time to make it happen but..... Fuck spending big money and all that shit. Can get 5k$ worth of commercial grade lights building yourself for maybe 12-1500$

Since we're on the topic of AUTOs, here's the next grow as soon as I get finished setting up the new grow area. I'm going to experiment using FF Happy Frog soil to start the seeds and the Stonington soil for the main grow medium. I'll use 7 gal air pruning pots under my 600w COB fixture in a 4x4 and let them go crazy

I could probably squeeze 5 in but I'm thinking that with that much root space I should leave plenty of room for gentle lst for maximum bud development so maybe only 3 or 4. The light at max output will give me 100K+ lumens in the 3500K spectrum with total PPF of 1380 and 18-19 PAR watts / sq '.

So I just looked at calendar. I'm 22 days since receiving my lil gals. I've just used water and fox farm organic soil. They're looking very healthy. I've bumped my rotating fan up to level 2 because they're growing and I want nice strong plants. I'm wondering if I'm ready to start pumping some nutrients into them and if so what kind /line of should I use?

Well, keep in mind it wasn't the legislature that passed this law. It was a direct vote via ballot question. But remember, what is created by legislation can be destroyed by legislation. Of course they are also cowards, so hold your state reps accountable.

If it were up to the legislature, we wouldn't have a frickin thing. Heck, even the illegal growers want this law dead. It's hurting business.

But that aside, I recently built a new light bar. I used 12 xm-l2 cree 5w chips (a combo of 5k and 6.5k lights) on two 24" heatsink bars. It draws 65 watts at the wall and is a nice compliment to my 360W (at wall) blurple light. The shape is designed to let it come right up to the led light box without blocking it.

The output from this light exceeds the output from 2x4 foot t5's or 4x2 foot T5's. Plenty of broad spectrum light and around $115 in parts (including shipping).

I'm using it alone for early veg. Once the plants are bigger I'll turn on the blurple.

Well, it depends on the lights. I can only speak to COB based systems, so it's not an apples to apples comparison with the burple lights.
If you look at Timber, they have both prebuilt and kits. You can save even more if you source from Kingbrite in China. It's not all that hard if you have some patience and basic skills and tools.
