New at growing

i have just started growing. i have a 3ft.Hx1ft.Lx14IN.W with a single 75w bulb that gives off good uva rays on an 17/5 timing of light and two sprouts in separate pots about a week old in mg soil they seem to be growing fine their both about 3 inches tall. i wanted to know some pointers since im just starting off in growing. BTW these two plants are not for hardcore growing just test run. Okay its 18/6 or 24/0.
Sounds Like u using a regular light bulb? Are U?
Ya space is a lil small u gonna wanna to small plants.
Test run, okay tryin to get da feel for it huh?

What do u wanna Know?
 
im using a reptile heating lamp since i cant find anything good around my area and its seems to be working also i would like to know what would be a good nutrition source say i could buy at a store and how much would i have to use also anything i could do to improve on

Okay first you can go buy some CFL's from Walmart/Lowes got bigger ones.
go 24/0 or 18/6 for light cycles.
Nutes what ever u can get ya hands on. Peters All Purpose is good.
Pple dont advise Miracle grow nutes but they'll work no probs.

Give out ya watering schedule,etc. So i can figure it out a lil better
 
check out my albums i just put it up and i literally just found a timer and put it on for 18/6 and i water them every day( when i wake up i put purified water on the base of the stem the through out the day i spray so the soil is moist and the plant gets some

Okay how big are ya pots cause u dont wanna water everyday.
what's da Temps?
 
the temp is like 75-78 and the pots are (pot1 6inch diameter) (pot2 5inch diameter) also i have a spot in my my room that is 7 1/2ft Hx 2ftWx 3 1/2L and the pots are temporary until they get bigger cause i have 3 gallon pots that will do when they get bigger

Okay u def dont wanna water everyday. Like once the first top couple inches go dry water. 75-78 is good bra.
U thought about gettin a HPS cause u got alot of height?
 
High Pressure Sodium. Basically its a HID light (high intensity discharge).
Real strong light gives u good buds bra.

o by the way could you tell me the correct age to tell if a plant will be a male cause one of my plants is growing steadily faster than the other one what do i do to be able to tell i cant get a straight answer from the internet
