DIY!!!! Built two of these today. Easy
4 bxeb 2 ft @ $7,47 = $29.88
driver @ $45
baking sheet @ $23
power cord $10
So call it $108 per fixture. This is for a specific application that suits my needs and you'd want to put something together more for your tent, but you get how easy this is?

This is done to the positive wire from the driver as well as the negative side. You can buy waygo connectors if you don't solder.

There are 3 wires to attach to the power cord, color coded.

Using 18g solid core wire, you just stick them into the strips and the wire locks in place. You can see the totality of the circuit here, WAY COMPLEX!

all done.

Arrow and Mouser, but it's worth looking around and checking prices at digeykey and elsewhere
Start a thread in the led section with your space and budget and those nerds (much love) will likely design a state of the art fixture for you. I bought these a bit ago and things seem to change quickly as far as sourcing the best parts and prices, often for the better as new stuff comes out or is updated.

Those nerds are fantastic. I've never introduced my self over there or made a comment because I have really no clue about led'. I have read a few things from those guys but wanted to get the basics out of the way. There is so much info about led' that it's pretty darn overwhelming. I'm going to give it a few more days to see what's going on with this return. If it does not work out then I'll stick with the hid for a bit if it does work out, I could only imagine what those folks come up with. A few people here have givin me some info and sites to check out. The lights look beautiful and look like they will do big things but might be out of budget for a few months. Either way, I'm glad that you jumped in and shared your build with me! Thanks for the drop on those other sites as well. I look forward to talking with you. I think it's really cool that you let nothing go to waste. Your koi pond water thing a ma jig is really cool. My next project will be some home brew. I'll definitely have some questions once I start that. Thanks again.

All that stuff is half the fun for me, and it's crazy how much overlap there is. Malted barley happens to be the best thing for making sprouted seed tea, cannabis and hops are very closely related;). Spent grain is decent worm food, etc. I'm very much still learning myself. I get a rush out of finding new ways to do things.

And don't fear the nerds. Just keep it real, don't argue, don't blow off the advice. I think a lot of those guys love to teach but they get turned off by bs'ing or people who engage a lot of their time and then go waste money on a blurple. They are fans of the tech and want people to succeed with it.

Yes I've noticed they are more than willing to help. Some are reluctant for reasons you stated but seem to come around once they know the op is serious. That's the major reason for not posting. I'm just not ready quite yet and I'm not about to ask anyone for help and have them spend time with me. Not that I'm not serious because I am. Just think its proper to wait till I'm ready. A few folks here have offered recommendations and I've been looking into things to gauge prices, builds etc. How ever until I know for sure about this hid return I'm going to just sit back and read a bunch more. I've only been a member for a few weeks but I love riu and the folks that are more than eager to help. There are some idiots but I tend to stay to my self any ways. If I dont feed the trolls I'll be all set! However I've been lucky enough to talk to some awesome people including your self. I've been saying since the beginning I'm going to stay away from the blurple lol. Thanks for taking the time to write, much appreciated! Dont forget to update how your new cookie sheet light is doing! I'll talk with you soon, have an awesome night!
