so i got a amazon 10$ gift card and am trying to buy some inserts on the cheap cheap.. as i've maxed my grow budget

but wasn't sure if they were cheap for a reason
I've read about how some pucks hold moisture and cause stem rot, this has a vague description and no reviews
this other one i could get but i wasn't sure if it mattered much, or if it really does make a difference paying an extra 10 bucks

if i wanted to one the other pucks, i could easily cut slits like the one above, not that i'd need to. I'm just curious as to anyone elses opinion on this, cause i might just go for the cheap ones unless there's good enough reason not to, they're a little more than half the price
