You must be good with the tools if your planning on doing something like this and alas I have no common sense and don't know how stuff works. I wish I had too much bud to trim. I hear people say that trimming is such a drag but it's a problem that I never had. What about those machines that trim buds ever thought about that? Big investment I think but they look pretty cool.

lol well you still gotta hold the buds while it trims so you could inspect them but family beats a machine any day.

Well if you've ever carried weight out of the bush you know trimmed is the way. Carrying untrimmed buds takes up a lot more space than you'd imagine and the leaves make it smell even more. Not to mention these strains are so covered in resin that the leaves stick to the buds making it a cunt to trim. Though I would rather trim in the safety of my home, most of the time it isn't feasible.

I just get some fold up chairs in a bag and leave them out on the patch. A table would really be nice though. I think I might sneak one out this year.

Man this is like the third time I read this thread and I'm more impressed every time. How remote would you have to be to have plots that large? I remember you said when we talked the other day that Im a little late to be starting from seed, so I'm not expecting plants anything near the size of yours, but I'm still worried I'll be spotted. On one hand I wanna be close enough that I don't have to break my back carrying everything, but far enough that I can sleep at night knowing someone isn't going to find them. I believe you said the other day that they should get at least 5 hrs of direct sunlight a day. In your opinion would you opt for a little less direct sunlight for a more stealthy, secluded spot?

BTW as you guys can probably tell I'm new to the community. How exactly do you subscribe to a thread?

This is gonna be awesome to watch! So very impressive and you definitely seem to have your shit together Mr NeL!

One question about water though. I know you said it was relatively close to all the patches but do you hump it from the source by bucket or are you using any sort of tubing? Am also curious if the weather effects how often you visit the patches?

Well if just starting from seed and putting them out there your not to late. I meant that starting from seed and sexing and taking clones would be a bit late but still possable. I always start beans in jan or feb. Well stealth is key so if less sun means no one will find them so be it. Some bud is better than no bud.

Evertime you post in a thread you subscribe:bigjoint:

Weather effects my visits, but I will still visit the patch weekly regardless. I have 6 gallon jugs I use from the camping section at wal mart. I just hump it, unfortunatley.

Yeah trimming by hand is still the best way. I just can't imagine throwing my buds into a fancy lawn mower bouncing all around knocking off trichs. As much work as it is, that's the cash cow there. moo-lah hahaha

How do you like those jugs? Are those the collapsible ones or rigid? I don't know how much harder it would be to fill them up in a creek than 5 gal buckets though. But that would be 12 gallons a trip instead of just 10 or 9 or 8 or however much sloshes out. grrr

They are rigid. I'll get close up for ya. I cut open the tops so they fill faster. When I mix liquid nutes in the bush I use the 6 gallon to pour into a 5 gallon bucket. I fill it with 4 gallons. When they get established they get 4 apiece.

OK yeah I can see cutting the tops out would help. A bucketful per plant is about right after they get big. I lost about 30 lbs last summer. ha

Soap and moth balls. I usually have to piss while I'm out there too. I use a couple thing for bugs. I use Safer 3 in 1 concentrate through out the season. And then I switch to Caterpillar Killer late in the season.

And for mold, just pray.

Damn now I understand what you mean about only putting out females. I was out for a little this afternoon digging and it is back breaking even for a pretty in shape guy! The soil here was A LOT more rocky than I thought which is a killer. To think half these holes I'm digging might be for nothing kinda sucks.
