need some advice about hps plz

hello ''''' first time growing and i really like this site ..good work from evrey body...

i just want to ask about the hps light ,,,right now i am using some cfls and i have only 2 plants and they are almost 2 months old ....so i was plannig to buy a hps becouse i am tired of wiering the cfls..


if i buy a hps light , forw many watts shuold i go in the erea of 2' 2' and 4' high,,main question is the light will make alot of heat or not becouse i cant use too many fans,,only1 ..

which one should i buy 250 watt hps or 175 waat hps light...

If you are only doing 2 plants then the 175 watt will be fine. But HPs lights do put out quite alot of heat. so you will need AT LEAST an exhaust fan in your grow room.

I would recommend to anyone considering this type of grow check out Barrel of Green posted in this forum by Major Toke. If you take the time to view it you will see how he uses a 250 watt hps bulb and gets excellent results using one small fan. VV
