Good day RIU -
So I was doing a little pruning of dead fan leaves here in the last week of the run and I noticed something I wanted to run past the crew here.
I was picking out the completely dead fan leaves and had a handful that were laying on top of buds that were below it before it died and had somewhat encased the top portion of the lower bud - kind of like the bud had a baseball cap on. Much to my surprise when I pulled the dead leaves from atop the buds with the "baseball cap" dead leaves on them, they had substantially more trich's then their neighboring buds from the same plant at the same height.
Has anyone else ever noticed this before? If so, any ideas why those particular buds would trich up so hard?
EDIT: One other thing I noticed about the buds that were being covered by the dead leaves...their coloration was off a bit too. A much lighter green then neighboring buds, almost looked light bleached...along with double the trichs.
