I am a brand new grower i bought some clones for the dispensary i had them under a t5 for like a week and a half but that wasnt doing it so i went out and bought a 250watt ballast i put them under the 250 mh light last night

for my indica plant the leaves have been turning yellow i transplanted like 3 days ago and havent seen the yellowing improve its almost time to water, what should i add to my water? i was reading about guano tea? i have rainbow mix gro. any advice will help and im willing to go out and buy something else if my babies need it

Thanks

Any idea what your PH is?(water, soil, fert mixes, etc....?) Looks like they're awfully hungry, likely a PH problem, or a watering issue, at this stage.

I need a ph meter and the stuff for the water, didnt know about all that stuff till yesterday, so today i am going to buy the whole set but i wont be back for like 9 hours, do you think i should just water them now or wait till i get home and get the ph level right?

okay i have superthrive i was told that is a great foliar feed, but i also heard if you foliar feed the leaves get salty and need to be washed??? how do you wash the leaves? lol

I need to water soon wat do you guys recommend for me to add to the water?
i just bought a ph balance kit,
what level should my ph be at?

my last watering was when i transplanted and i gave her nutes and super thrive.
i also have silica blast, will that help with any problems at this stage??

thanks for all your help, hopefully my first crop survives and has a decent yield...

^You should do some testing, and find out what PH they've been getting, til now. I can guarantee that it's off, likely low. Then, PH adjust a bunch of water to between 6.5 and 7.0,(I use 6.7 - 6.9 for everything) and flush the plants thoroughly, until your runoff comes out with the same PH as the water your pouring in. Then, when you're done flushing, give them one feeding if 1/2 strength veg fert, and make sure it contains micro-nutes, because the flushing will wipe alot of them out of your medium, and'll need replaced. Yes, your plant might droop a little, for a day or two, from the heavy watering, but it won't hurt it any, once it starts to dry, it'll perk right back up. It'll be much happier, after it's all said and done.

If you want to foliar feed, mix up your fert(I use about 1/2 strength, usually), and soak the foliage thoroughly, tops and bottoms of the leaves. Then, a couple days later, do the same thing with straight water, and then they'll be "washed", as you mentioned.lol PH-adjust everything you spray them with, too, of course, using the same value you feed them with.(6.5 - 7.0)

I didnt have a ph meter till last night so i thought that was a big problem in it all but i ph adjusted when i watered last night to 6.5-6.6 and i tested the run off and it was the same

^That's a good thing, telling you they were simply underfed. The transplant may have been enough to take care of it, hard to say, being that we know nothing about the soil. *hint, hint*lol Even if it's quality soil, I'd still give them a light feeding, being that they are soooo deficient, 'cause the risk of nuteburn is nil.

Can you describe your watering habits?

Ive had the plants for less than 2 weeks and i have watered them twice, when i berly got them we watered them like 2 times in one day cuz we didnt know then i read up on everything more, i was reading about putting perlite and sand in the soil to absorb and retain the water more, im using happy frog soil i know it has some in there but is it enough??

Happy Frog is a decent soil, right out of the bag, and also has plenty of nutes, so it's likely not the problem. Okay,...you say you water them twice a week. When you water them, do you water heavily, making sure every single crumb of soil is wet? That's critical. Think about it raining outside, and try to water like that, evenly, and completely, when you water. There is no risk of overwatering, in one session, so make sure you water it til the soil is saturated, and a little runoff comes out the drainage holes at the bottom. That soil has plenty of perlite for aeration, and as long as you give it a couple days to dry out afterwards,(til at least 50% of the soil is dry. I shoot for about 70-80%, which is a bit more ideal, but not critical) you won't have ANY overwatering problems. I suspect that you are underwatering, leaving areas of the soil continually dry, starving the plants. Rememeber,..dry roots aren't feeding, they're waiting for moisture, so they CAN feed.

MJ plants love water, but they'll also suffocate if you don't allow them to 'breathe', in between waterings. That's what overwatering is...a failure to let your plants breathe, and has nothing to do with how much water you pour in them in one watering. You could give that little thing a whole gallon of water, each time you water, and as long as you give it time to dry out afterwards, it'd be perfectly fine. Moral of the story...don't be afraid to water them heavily. I see it WAAAAAY too often here, that growers get scared of watering their plants, thoroughly, 'cause a couple noobs who messed up their own plants, scare them from doing do. Grr....LOL

Your soil is fine, and your PH is fine, so as long as there's no major temperature problems, or something else way off, I'd have to say you need to tweak you watering habits. Get that right, and you should have a nice harvest(with enough lighting.lol). :)

Thanks..!!! I think you got it right on the money, the indica plant is suppper starved the soil is already looking really dry, but that sativa plant is just freakin growing like crazy i tell my husband i swear the plant is literally growing in front of my eyes im glad they gave me the idea to LST cuz she really likes it she is growing little leafs all over the place =D thanks for all your help, and actually getting all the details of my bbys before sending me off to do some crazy shit lol ill post up some pics in the morning show you the progress

You're welcome. :) I see it way too often here, that people get scared into watering properly, that I think someone should type out a nice long, detailed explanation, of how to do it properly, then have it stickied at the top of the forum.lol

Watering, is something that noobs should not be allowed to give advice on, til they prove they know what they're doing.lol

You should do it, i would but im such a noooooobbbb lol im learning tho bit by bit, I got a new clone today =D Skywalker OG she looks good too but i couldnt believe they sold it in a freakin bag no pot or anything =/
