Need help setting up closet grow room!

i need some help with the design of my grow room. first of all, i'm using my closet, and i don't have very much, if any money for equipment, etc. how many plants would i be able to do without the smell leaking out too much? i don't have any sort of venting to the outside, so the smell has nowhere to really go

also, i'm growing on one of my shelves, not the floor. the shelf is 4 feet by 1 foot

dude first of all u need ur closet dimensions L-W-H

and even with 1 plants its realy going to stink up the place, thats what im having trouble with right now, i only have 2 plants

With no filter, you can grow exactly zero plants. With lights and no exhaust it will get to hot. With no filter the exhaust will stink. A lot.

I also have a small grow and had the same problem. I tried all kinds of home made activated carbon filters and even tried dryer sheets but you could always detect some odor. I caved and bought a $59 4" carbon air filter and there is NO more odor. I don't even need a candle or an air freshener. Totally worth it. Don't even waste your time on other stuff.

how well did the dryer sheets work. was it only a faint odor, or really strong?

sorry. the shelf is four feet long, 1 foot deep. and my closet is 88 inches wide by 36 inches deep by 94 inches tall

also, i don't plan on growing them there the entire time, probably only for most of the vegetative cycle

well throw as many pots in ur small area as u can, what lighting u gunna use?

use pots atleast 6" width to get u thru the veg stage, then transplant after 8" tall

i dont know what kind of lights they are, but i've got the light that was installed in my closet, which is one of those strip flourescent lights, and i've got three desk lamps with compact flourescent bulbs. i'm working on getting more lamps though
